Chipotle’s menu is normally absolutely fabulous. That is if it doesn’t come from this location and if the workers follow the tried and true Chipotle recipes. But I’ve noticed at this location, it feels like the servers and cooks are just winging it, which frequently ends up less than fabulous. I’ve received orders that have random foods mixed in with mine, probably due to the servers using utensils from different tubs of food or not paying attention to what they are doing and leaving spilled ingredients on the preparation counter. I’ve found shriveled onions mixed in with the chicken that looks like chicken grizzle, you know the part of the chicken that’s normally tossed out; I’ve found squished pieces of lettuce mixed in with and sticking out of the lids along with squished guacamole on the outside of the containers. And what’s with the cilantro in the white rice? Again if the recipes are followed, it’s really delicious, but at this location it’s like they add the cilantro to the rice another double dose of it again resulting in way too much. To me that ruins the dish. This may seem trivial, but bottom line is it’s really sloppy work and it looks absolutely disgusting. My most recent experience, I ordered a Burrito Bowl with white rice, and chicken. The chicken had way too much seasoning added to it. It was over seasoned so much it tasted like eating a mouthful of straight seasoning, couldn’t even taste the chicken. My order also included Chips & Queso Blanco. Queso Blanco is made with white cheese and is very delicious. But this was not made with white cheese, it was kind of a light orange color like they used American sharp and it definitely did not taste anything like the Queso Blanco that is offered at all the other Chipotle restaurants in town. I only come to this Chipotle location because it’s close to home and work. But now I’m really disgusted with this store and I know it would be worth the trouble just drive an extra five minutes and go to a different...
Read moreMan how this location and restaurant chain has gone down in standards, smaller portions, and up in prices! Chicken and steak are always fatty and you barely get a little scoop of meat along with your small side of undercooked brown rice. You will be charged for every little thing like queso that you have the choice to have it in your bowl included but if you ask for it on the side that’s an up charge. One taco is $5! Insane to me because the shell is a store bought thin shell that gets soggy by the time you get home to eat it. Guacamole was completely brown so I did not chose to add that but that’s also an up charge. Customers know when you’re cutting corners and ripping them off to save money on food costs. Going from once giving heaping scoops of meat to making sure it’s just a little small amount. The employees always tell me they don’t want to get in trouble as they are watched. Even when I asked for extra lettuce on the side so it didn’t get soggy I got told it was $2! Are you kidding me!?! I got a bowl a bag of chips and one taco that was $24! That’s about as much if you go to a sit down restaurant not a fast food chain. This will be the last time I will coming to chipotle due to the lack of quality of food, standards, and ridiculous pricing. Definitely not as fresh as they claim. Save your money and go to Jersey Mike’s...
Read moreThere are an endless number of positive things that I have to say about this particular Chipotle location. Let's start from the tippy top. Their staff is phenomenal. You can tell that they treat their employees well. As a customer, I am always greeted with warm smiles and everyone seems quite cheerful. I've been eating at this Mexican grill for three years. The same people have been working there from then til now. It's clear that they operate as a team and enjoy their work environment. That's best case scenario for a consumer because the people serving you take pride in their work. Next, the prices are ideal. It's dirt cheap for a huge, fat, chunky burrito. If you don't get a drink or guacamole, it's basically seven dollars flat. If you do add a drink or some bells and whistles to your meal the price goes up, but gradually. I'm not rich, but I can afford and justify eating here often... maybe too often. Lastly, the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The rice is never salty (Qdoba...), the beans are never mushy or too dry, and the meet is moist and flavorful. I could go on about the tortilla as well, but I want to leave a few surprises for those of you who haven't visited this location yet. Bottom line, delicious with a capital D! You've earned this five start Chipotle. Keep up...
