Chick-fil-A whats up? Preaching High standards/Expectations, Voicing YOUR political/religious concerns about innocent individuals, underprivileged groups or those that enjoy individual expression. Then THIS! - Post 15hr shift against my better judgement thought I would stop in for a quick drive thru order on the way to where I lay my head at night.
I knew it was not the BEST idea admittedly. First off location is less than desirable to say the least and attracts springs riff raff particularly at 900pm. Also only chick fil A location I have ever been to in the USA that forgot the "my pleasure" what!! Pull up drive thru line is down to one lane (R lane closed) and extended clear outside of resturant property. Tried to jet but car pulled in behind me at this point I am committed! After sitting w no movement for 10min an employee opens right lane up and comes car to car telling us to pull into right lane. Great idea right? Nah!
So we - the right lane now have all the exisiting folks in the Left line ahead of us and said employee starts at the end of left line taking orders completly neglecting us that were pulled into the R lane. I happened to be car 2 at window in R lane, follow me please. Employee takes orders for all cars in L lane from rear to front then starts at car one in R lane after 20 min. So at this point I have been in resturant drive thru 30 min, still no order. Whats better is all the people that arrived after us in R/L lane advanced got order and were on their ways. It was truly unbelievable.
Understand its all younger employees doing the best they can, honestly I get that! But can that specific location teach to employees to start with the folks who have been waiting the longest first perhaps? Just a thought, no one cares. I do! Shout out to young manager EMILY who was kind, professional, calm and appologetic as I voiced my concerns/frustrations. She issued a FULL refund and I finally was able to go on my way after about 45 min in drive thru. Thank you EMILY for making a HORRIBLE situation a bit better! Please teach your staff proper drive thru eddiquette (sp) priority and serving those first who have waited the longest.

Read moreI had a terrible experience at this Chick-fil-A a few days ago. I ordered at the drive thru and was told it would be a 10 minute wait for my food, and I said ok and paid the gentleman in cash. My total was $14.40. I asked for a receipt and he said they’d give me one at the window. Then I pulled up to the window and they immediately said “actually it’s going to be at least a 20 minute wait.” I said ”oh I don’t want to wait that long can you please refund me?” They said sure.
A couple minutes later a manager comes and hands me $4.60 in cash and walks away. I’m like I’m sorry I’m missing almost $10? Turns out she refunded just the item that was going to take long to cook, not the whole order. I said “I’m sorry I would like a full refund and my order canceled.”
A few minutes later she brings me $10 in ONES and $0.15 in change. I then asked about the free item I redeemed from my app, and she said she refunded me for that. I said you gave me an extra $0.35 but the item value on the receipt is $2.29. I asked if they could just put the reward back on my app and she said no. So then I asked if I could receive the other $1.94 for the full value of the item. She could not understand how mathematically the $14.75 she gave me was not correct.
Meanwhile I’m sitting in the drive thru and I asked her twice during all this if I can come inside so I’m not blocking people, and she said no. Then she leaves and two other managers come back out, meanwhile customers are yelling at me to “get out of the way.” So I ask these new managers if I can please come inside so people stop yelling at me. She said “oh you can pull over there and we’ll come talk to you.”
So I pull around and this manager says that yes they can put my reward back on my account, and then I gave her $0.35 back since the other lady refunded me too much, and she did apologize but it was not at all sincere. Like WHY was that so hard? Clearly the first manager needs to be retrained because she did not know they could simply reverse my reward redemption and then simply give me back the $14.40 I paid. And this whole thing took over 30 minutes just to get a freaking refund! THE FOOD WOULDVE BEEN DONE BY THEN. Uuuuuuggggghhhhhhh. Ended up having dinner next door at Olive...
Read moreWorst customer service I have ever received at a Chick-fil-A. Last night I was in a hurry and chose to eat at Chik -Fil-A. I made this decision because every Chik- Fil-A I have been to has been incredibly fast and the staff is usually wonderful. When I pulled into the 2 nd lane of the drive through at the Academy & Galley location I was relieved to see that they were very slow at that moment. I waited for one of the two employees that were standing outside to stop talking to each other and acknowledge me, but they never did. I eventually interrupted them, and Jade informed me that she couldn’t take my order because I wasn’t in 1st lane. I was told to pull forward and drive around the building again to get my order taken,(although both employees were doing absolutely nothing). When I pulled forward to circle around the building, I realized there was a car in lane 2 waiting for their order, so I was stuck. As the minutes passed 8 cars piled up in lane 1 , so now my order was going to be behind all the costumers that had arrived after me. I flagged down an employee that was delivering food and asked if I could order from her. After she told me that wasn’t possible, I requested that she speak to her manager. She eventually came back out and told me to circle around the building although I was clearly stuck behind a car that wasn’t moving. I requested to speak to her manager and several minutes later she came out and informed me that she was going to make an exception this time and allow me to get my order taken😳 It took another 10 minutes for the original employee,( I believe Jade) to rudely come and take my order.
During my whole visit to Chik-Fil-A, none of the employees even took the time to smile at me or to apologize for prolonging my visit by 30 minutes. The staff acted like I was absolutely disgusting because I pulled into the wrong drive through lane, ( which wasn’t clearly marked). Whoever is running this location should not have a job in hospitality! I manage restaurants for a living and I understand F&B can be stressful, but this staff was horrible. I can’t believe Chik-Fil-A would allow these people to represent their company. Do yourself a favor and dine...
