Chose this hotel based on the reviews and ended up being disappointed. Checked in Friday night and was told the elevator was out of service and we had to carry all of our luggage up the stairs to the 3rd floor. As of Sunday night, elevator is still broken. We made it to our room and noticed that our room door looked like someone tried to force their way in (see photos). The room was spacious, the AC worked wonderfully, no water pressure issues and the beds were of decent comfort. Left for the day on Saturday and returned late at night to find that our room was not serviced. I figured it might have been because we didn’t leave the sign on the door asking for service. So the next morning, we left the sign out by 7:30am came back at 9pm ready to shower only find out that our room was once again not serviced. I let the front desk know and had to walk back downstairs to pick up the new towels. I personally didn’t like the hot breakfast - I felt the eggs and hash brown were bland but it was nice that it was free and not just continental. This is an area we frequently travel to but we won’t be returning to this hotel. We paid $650 for 3 nights - we expected better than what we got.

Very nice and attentive staff. Hotel appearance was nice, things look like they are continuing with construction upgrades and changes. I'd like to see more than 1 ice and soda vending machine, the only one was on ground floor. For breakfast cereal, maybe adding something other than just corn flakes, frosted flakes, and raisin bran..? The 3rd floor hallway was stale coming out of the elevator, better ventilation? The bed was very comfortable, the tub needed to be cleaned prior to use, and the stopper didnt seat correctly causing water to drain out. The jetted tub was a big determination in booking this room, very nice to have/use after running the LA Tough Mudder 15k on Saturday. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks for a great stay

Don’t come here if you have kids. My baby eats his Gerber on the bed and stained some of the sheets as baby’s tend to do. The housekeeper decided to leave me this note. Basically implying not to dirty the sheets so they won’t need to replace them with fresh ones. Then they decided to turn it around on me, because apparently stained sheets due to baby food counts as hotel damage with a penalty of $250. Never before have I heard of this, if you have kids it’s best not to feed them in the room and avoid all drinks and any type of food all together when in the room.

I think this hotel is losing it's charm. I stay here often for music festivals and it's just getting worse. First issue, i booked the "flexible" room about 6 months ago for my stay, i chose the option where i would pay when i stay. To my surprise i get a charge from the hotel a month before my stay in February, for the full amount $861.72. It threw me off guard because i truly thought it was a fraud charge on my card. I called my bank, then it dawned on me maybe this is a charge for the event in march. I called the hotel directly and spoke with a lady. I asked her why was i charged if i had not stayed at the hotel yet. She said in a condescending voice, " Well, are you staying here March 22nd/23rd for the festival, the hotel is fully booked now so we charged early to secure your room for that stay". First of all, it would have been nice to send your guests a warning e-mail, I've never heard of this before. If that was the case i should have selected the "pay now option" before and got the discounted rate, especially since i had booked way in advance. How rude of the hotel to assume everyone can afford to pay a month before. That was the first head ache before my stay. The next thing was, when we checked in. The room was okay, looks like it has seen better days but at least the bed was fine. We leave to the festival and when we get back at 2am, and we want to shower. I had been in the music festival for over 10 hours, dancing, walking and being in crowds. We turn on the shower... and there is NO HOT WATER! it was ice cold at best. I was soo upset. I let it run for ten minutes hoping it would at least get warm.. NOPE. COLD! I called the front desk and said there was no hot water, they said they would send someone tomorrow to check. So i slept in my filth because there was no way in hell i was taking that ice shower. The next day i guess i missed the maintenance person when i was out getting breakfast. By 9 am the water was now a little better than cold but not warm either, but it was tolerable to shower in. So we hurried up and showered. We just assumed the water issue was fixed by now. The 2nd night of the festival, we get back late night 1:30 a.m., and guess what? Yup, You got it. NO HOT WATER NO WARM WATER, just ice cold water. Wow, lovely, i have to sleep in my filth for the 2nd day in a row now. I was super annoyed and i can't believe i spend this much money for this crappy experience, i feel completely BAMBOOZLED. The last thing that happened, my boyfriend forgot his $200 electric toothbrush and his $300 night guard in the bathroom. I called the next day when he realized this to see if they had it. The front desk said no, nothing was turned in. He is 100% sure he had left it. While no one would want his custom nightguard, i could see how someone would definitely want the electric tooth brush, all you need to do is get rid of the brush head and get a new tip. It's super weird that the cleaning staff did not find it. I'm not buying it one bit. Even though it was my BF's fault for leaving it behind, It should be there. It's...

The service when we checked in was great but the next day the staff/manager did not agree with the help we received the night before and after checking out and paying through Priceline this hotel charged me $61.05 using the card I had given them for the security deposit in case of damage/loss to their facility or room charges. They lied and said that it was because the room rate was wrong. When we checked in and the night auditor didn’t know we already had a reservation through Priceline the total she quoted us was 124.78, a mere 5.81 more than the 118.97 we paid through Priceline . Bottom line I refuse to stay in a hotel who hires dishonest people who think they can arbitrarily charge my card without my permission/authorization. I paid through Priceline and they had no legal right to charge my card without my permission. When we checked in the night clerk nor the corporate person who helped her with our reservation ever mentioned an issue with the rate. We checked in under the agreement that we were paying through Priceline and Best Western had no right to charge me without an agreement in place. Thieves! I will never stay in another Best Western hotel again and in fact will be making a list of any hotel own by the same parent company so we can avoid them too. The unauthorized charges have been disputed and I should get my money back because the charge was not authorized, but you have to be able to trust the company you give your credit card information to and I do not trust Best Western or their sister hotels to treat me with dignity and respect and...

Colton Best Western used to be our go-to hotel. It's been a couple of years since we last stayed here.

Our Families booked 3 rooms. We checked into the room before the other parties. Once the final party checked in, there was a disability issue that caused them not to check in because the hotels elevator was not working. They ended up canceling their room. The other 2 parties tried to cancel their room because we were all on vacation together and wanted to stay at the same hotel. We were told by the front desk, Lexi, that we could not cancel our rooms because she did not have access to anything. I requested to speak to a manager, but she claimed there were no managers. Hotels always have a day and night manager. Or someone on call for major issues. What was she going to do to do if she needed help? Since it was not a guarantee that we would get out money back for the first day, all 9 of us piled into two rooms. I asked her to change the stay and we would check out the following day. She was not able to do that and insisted I had to wait until the morning. I have immediately filed a complaint with their customer relations. Issues since my last stay: Elevators to not work Bathroom was dirty, especially the toilet No ice machine on the 3rd floor Vending machines did not work Deposit is now $300 (I do not even have a dog) and will take an unspecified amount of time to be released back to the card. I was charged $1200 for 2 nights with some of it refundable. Never had this before. Deposits are usually $50. Fixtures are loose

We will not be...
