Amapola Rico Taco — Restaurant in Colton

Amapola has gone downhill came in and ordered two burritos first burrito was poorly made not even what was ordered. Second burrito chile verde was terrible you can taste the flower inside of the green sauce the stingy service guy only wanted to give us four napkins and three hot sauces. The only good thing is Chile Verde is hot the flavor is gone down here either this one here or is the main hub on Mount Vernon and baseline they delivers the food here which of the two I don't know but this one I'm totally unsatisfied with my chile verde burrito. As I mentioned the sauce inside of the burrito you can taste the flour in it or the cornstarch whatever it is they're using the good and bad thing is is it has a lot of sauce which creates a mess when you take a bite so they should be more generous on napkins or buy better napkins that you can only wipe your mouth once with the napkin a plus that I can say is it doesn't seem like they raise their prices the portion yeah I think it used to be a little bigger. Everyone who comes on Apollo maybe you can stop and think is this really worth the price that I'm paying if we would only put her foot down and stop purchasing these overpriced under portioned meals the company would have one or two choices lower the price increase the portion or close their doors. The consumer has so much leverage but don't use it...

So I've been ordering from Amapola Rico Taco with Doordash delivery, for awhile now, and their burritos are both delicious, and reasonably priced. Well about a week ago I was really hungry so I looked at Amapola Rico Taco. I picked some burritos that were delicious as always! BUT; I also got a double cheeseburger on a whim. As I don't ever do that, as I feel when you go to an ethnic restaurant that specializes in their particular ethnic cuisine, you go there to eat that specific cuisine. Not typical standard American fare. Sure maybe for a picky four year old, that's out with it's parents. But you'd expect that to be bland, boring, or just not made right...

Well I ate the double cheeseburger, and it was like my taste buds were having a party in my mouth! It truly was a very pleasant surprise! So much infact that I ordered three the next day, and four today! I just can't help myself; they are that good! Actually all of their food that I've had really is delicious!

I suggest that you get something to eat here, the next time you're hungry for a fantastic Mexican dish. But if you just can't decide between all of those delicious Mexican dishes... May I recommend their double cheeseburger. It won't disappoint.

I went there this morning for breakfast, placed my order, sat down to wait. As I'm waiting a man came in , obviously part of the work crew working on the pipe replacement going on, anyway he ordered his burrito and his card declined, and saw the woman putting payment card through again, didn't pay any more attention, saw her give him a receipt, so I thought all was well. Turned out his card declined again, so I thought I should do something good and pay for him, well before I could even say anything, the woman cooking and working the order counter asked if I could call him back in so she would give him s burrito. Yes I said GIVE! How awesome is that? With everything going on in this world right now, this indeed warmed my heart. God bless you at the restaurant and thank you for showing that man that people of color are not as we're all portrayed to be. The food was great and the service...
