I frequent this store due to its location with my toddler and my toddler enjoys the carts with the race cars/fire truck on the front. Anytime I visit the store I get this cart BECAUSE my daughter enjoys it. There is a particular woman who works there, an old, white woman with long gray hair, who makes it a point to go out of her way and tell me that I need to get another cart or carry my groceries because that cart ācanāt go outside.ā Several times I didnāt have the energy to deal with her, so I simply carried my daughter and all my groceries across the parking lot by myself. When this woman isnāt working, no one ever says anything and I always bring the cart back in. That woman, who was working at approximately 740pm, Tuesday 4/22/2025, decided to go out of her way to harass me AGAIN before I even paid for my items and asked me if I was going to carry my things or get another cart, I told her that Iām going to use this cart and bring it back in. She proceeded to get louder, tell my cashier to go get a cart, which they did, and my partner who happened to be with me this time, told her that we always bring it back and to please just leave us alone and that she always harasses us. Iām a super laid back person and I am also a rule follower, however, this woman is a total ass. The other cashiers (mine) and other high school age kids all immediately had a totally different energy and it was frankly ridiculous. We asked to speak to the manager while this woman goes to service desk, stands there with us while waiting for said manager, and while weāre trying to explain the situation to the manager sheās speaking over me and interrupting. The manager, was totally normal and said it was fine and generally seemed like she didnāt understand why this was even happening. I said, we always bring them back in, thank you and left. We just wanted to explain the situation, as that woman is the only person who acts completely insane about these carts and Iām certain Iām not the only one.
I suppose if itās that big of an issue for ownership and they truly donāt want the carts going outside, you should post that somewhere so that people who use your store can make this decision before selecting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have a laundry list of bad things I could say about this place and location. Inside and out.... Given being an old employee and know how this place is and how it's ran. I just wanna say it's terrible how much this place makes each year with NASCAR and Faster Horses and not to mention the amount of money they rip off their employees and they can't even keep their bottle room working. Half of them are faulty or don't work.
The young kid working the bottle room was EXCELLENT and definitely was trying to do everything and anything to fix the situation but their bottle room is a joke for a company that makes MILLIONS a year. In my opinion the family that owns this Establishment should be paying their employees better and updating their equipment. I just spent 2 hours returning bottles because a quarter of the machines either don't work or will say full every 10 to 15 cans while it's empty. I would have loved to move to another machine but it was non stop people coming in.
I'm just saying if you make that much money update your broken machines. Since Ive worked here before I've seen the distance they will go to not spend money and have the (make it work) mentality.
Sorry I just think this place is a joke.... And always makes me laugh when you only see the young attractive girls moving up in this place or given opportunities compared to the others who bust their butt for this place. The people here are creeps and it's ran by a rich family who just pockets the profits.
I expect a simple copy paste apologies from you after this but I remember how I was treated and others during my 5 years here when I was younger and doesn't seem to change. Update more than your cheap floors.......
Unreliable Bottle Return Employee Treatment Favoritism
*Pictures added showing others needing to open and move cans themselves to make room or to just see an empty container saying full bin and showing how many Pepsi cans they don't accept in their machines. If I hadn't spent so long waiting for machines I would have taken them in personally but I didn't wanna be there any longer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn a recent camping trip with some friends we made several stops at Country Market for "provisions" (beer and snacks). It's not far from Michigan International Speedway and on the way to our lunch destination.
The inside is deceptively large. I did not expect this store to be this large, but it's enormous and well laid out. The décor is very down-home/country (like its name says) and it's kept very clean. On a 95° day it's nice to go inside and soak up a little air conditioning, so meandering each and every aisle with my friends was kind of like a field trip.
The produce department is quite sizable I saw two staff members tending to the produce, keeping it stocked and well maintained. The deli was hopping (it was Race Weekend).
I needed to purchase a cooler to take to the track but wasn't having a lot of locating one. One of the Produce staff paused what he was doing and told me exactly where to find it. I got an insulated ColemanĀ® six-can cooler for just $20(US).
They have a HUGE selection of beer, both craft and domestic and a very nicely stocked beer cave. When it comes to snacks, they got them in huge tracts of lands. Pretzels to DoritosĀ® to bean dip to jerky, they've got you covered.
Checking out was a breeze, with plenty of cashiers manning the registers.
Yes, you saw that right. Cashiers running registers. The more the big grocery stores switch to self-checkout the more you start to appreciate interacting with a human.
Since I live about 6 hours away there's a good chance I won't be visiting any time soon, but next year I already know where my "provisions"...
