Fort Jackson Boot Camp Graduate Family & Friends, or anyone for that matter, do NOT book here (even though the late night and early morning front desk staff were amazing; it’s the management). I was skeptical when I walked into the Room 610 on Monday, 25 AUG 2025, & saw white powdery like substance in the grout of the entryway, as well as on the interior door of the closet and on the luggage rack, but I as told that it was probably carpet fresh that wasn’t throughly cleaned (brought this to the attention of night front desk staff who immediately sent someone up to wipe down the luggage rack). However, on our last night, 27 AUG, when I went to grab a washcloth & inadvertently knocked all the “clean”folded towels off the shelf to discover two used needles syringe and used syringes, I hate I hadn’t gone with my initial intuition! |I immediately showed the pictures to night staff Oliver, who seemed genuinely appalled. Per Oliver, I emailed pictures of the health hazard to the email address he provided; he also said he’d notify the General manager in the morning. The evening maintenance man was also made aware of this hazard as he came to retrieve the used paraphernalia. |A week went without a response, so I called the hotel and left a message for the General Manager. When she called back, though she was made aware of the hazardous conditions, her first question is, “How can I help you?” in a defensive tone. I asked to speak to her superior as we hadn’t even said anything and you’re already calling with your defenses up? She corrected her tone, said that she’s been made aware of the situation, and that she could offer a night refund or 10,000 points. I told her that I’d think about it and contact her.|I emailed her the pictures & and suggested the very LEAST they should do is comp the entire stay. Well, she emailed me back with the least she could do. I still did not feel valued as a customer so reached out to the regional manager, who never apologized for his delayed response and did nothing more than offer an apology.|This was unacceptable and an easily avoidable situation, had there been proper training on the cleaning staff and the front desk staff providing the correct email address. They obviously didn’t view this hazardous as a surprise or that I was valuable enough to offer points for a...
Read moreHusband and I stayed one night. We had a 6th floor king suite overlooking the front parking lot. Hallway was well lit. There are two elevators and both worked well but one had a loud rumbling noise as it went up and down. ||Our bathroom was small but nicely updated. There were pump dispensers for body wash, shampoo and conditioner inside the tub shower. The water pressure was good and the shower head was high enough to accommodate a tall person. A dispenser for body lotion was near the sink but ours was empty. We had a bar of soap and a pack of makeup remover as well. There were 4 towels and 4 washcloths each but only 2 each of hand towels. ||The room had a microwave and apartment size fridge with freezer. Both worked, as did an iron and ironing board which were both inside a closet. The closet door was also a full length mirror. ||The room was noisy. The fridge compressor ran all night and there was another low constant rumbling noise in the room that we couldn’t identify. So we didn’t sleep well even tho the bed was very comfortable. If we had stayed more than a night, we would have asked for another room. ||Breakfast had hot options (potatoes, sausage and scrambled eggs, oatmeal, waffles) as well as breads, cereals and fruit. I like how consistent the Hampton Inn brand has stayed, at least in the IS, when it comes to providing a hot breakfast. ||The staff here is friendly, polite and helpful. The receptionist who checked us in was very welcoming. The young man who worked the breakfast room was a joy to be around in the morning. Plus he made sure the food stations were always stocked and everything was clean. ||We walked the Harbison Walking Trail from this hotel. There are steps to the trail by the pool. It’s a lovely way to stretch your legs after you’ve been driving or flying all day. Ask the front desk about it. Highly recommend. ||Overall, despite the noisy room, we liked this hotel and hope to stay again when...
