I booked this hotel for 4 nights and moved out after the first night to the DoubleTree across the street. I made a reservation at the DoubleTree at 3am and moved out first thing in the morning. The manager and staff were rude and showed no remorse over the disgusting condition of the room. 1. The room was absolutely filthy. The bedsheets were stained and had hair on them. All 4 pillow covers had hair on them. The bathroom sink would not drain and ended up overflowing while I was in the bathroom, to which I had to use all the towels to soak up the water. There were water ring marks on the table. 2 of the lights in the room didn’t work. The carpet and walls had countless stains and marks. 2. They do not provide housekeeping everyday. They provide it on alternate days. 3. They do not have any staff in the hotel past 7pm. When I got back to my hotel at 2 am, I saw how disgusting the bedsheets and pillow covers were. I came down to the front desk and the man sitting there called himself the “Night Auditor” (basically just rings up whatever you want to buy from the front desk). He said he can’t do anything to help me and has no control over anything going on in the hotel. He said there is no housekeeping staff available and if I have a problem, I have to wait till the manager comes in at 8am. I had him give me clean bedsheets and pillow covers and changed them myself at 3am to avoid sleeping in filth. 4. I called to ask if they can provide some water bottles (complimentary water bottles are assumed at a hotel like Hyatt). The front desk worker told me that I should just drink the tap water since it’s potable and they do not provide water to their guests. 5. The hotel has a weird smell, and the hallways are unclean. People left dirty dishes and laundry in the walkways and tables on each floor because housekeeping doesn’t clean everyday. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I would recommend anyone looking to stay here to stay at the DoubleTree Hilton down the street. This should be a 1 star hotel. I’ve stayed at a Red Roof Inn with better service than this hotel.

This was my first visit ever to Ohio and I stayed at the Hyatt Place hotel in the Worthington area. The Hyatt Place certainly met my expectations. It was clean and well organized. Would have been nice if the room had some, now fairly standard, antiseptic wipes available in the room. I did receive them while staying at other Hyatt properties. I have traveled and stayed in four different hotels this year and this was the first one, at the time of check-in, where they told me their housekeeping schedule. Basically, it's "on demand" and they asked a request given to the front desk the night before, so they are able to properly schedule. Room was quiet, clean and very pleasant for my stay. I only had a quick breakfast one morning during my three night stay. I went down to the breakfast area in the lobby and they had a selection of cereals, yogurts, biscuit sandwiches and beverages in a refrigerated glass case. You could select what you'd like and if the item needed to be heated, there were two microwaves available. I selected a "Bob Evans" biscuit sandwich with egg & sausage and heated it up for one minute. It was fine. Made me long for the "old days" pre-pandemic, as I'm certain it does everyone! This breakfast, although very limited, was the largest hotel breakfast selection I have seen since traveling this year. Clearly, they are trying very hard to return to some normalcy. Kudos to this hotel management for all of their efforts to try to return to a pre-pandemic standard.

Terrible. Rooms smell due to outdated carpet holding odors. Discovered mold in the room and in the comforters. Been trying to recover from a sudden illness since leaving that I didn't come in with. Room setup is weird having the bathroom 5 feet or less from the bed. Sink directly in front of beds. Front desk Staff wasn't helpful after coming with concerns multiple times. 1 night staff told me I could take a set of extra sheets and make the bed myself to sleep on top of the moldy comforter. Who does that? There are no matress protectors on their mattresses so them being cheap puts you at risks for bed bugs ect. Got blown off like it wasn't a big deal or they hear my concerns too often to care anymore. Had a Broken elevator which made the remaining elevator take forever. After speaking with manager who eventually was willing to "try to do something" it seems there was a lot of hesitation on what he thinks would be the customer satisfaction thing to do or how to properly exceed a guests satisfaction when it comes to rectifying that situation. Very surprised as I've never had a bad hyatt place stay anywhere else. Don't expect them to acknowledge any hyatt status nor reimburse any points.

I absolutely loved this hotel!! I've traveled all over, for both business & family/friends/pleasure, and this hotel is in one of the top spots of my list of places I'd return to. What started my great experience was when I called to let them know I'd need an extremely late check-in (check-in is s.o.p. 3:00pm) because of some unexpected travel delays, the gentleman who answered granted my request & wished my self along with my family safe travels. Then upon arrival the front desk clerk was wonderfully helpful & accommodating, he also asked if we would like some free bottles of water or maybe a late night snack, which we took him up on since it was such a crazy hectic travel day along with skipping dinner so we wouldn't loose more time. Saturday's continental breakfast was delicious, there wasn't a ton of different items to choose from since again they maintained another s.o.p., but what really made the difference in this hotel was that all the hot food was actually hot & the cold drinks were actually cold. I know this seems as though I have low standards, maybe compared to some I may, but for me if the customer service is happy to accommodate, the price is reasonable & the clenlynes is on point I'm a pretty happy "camper" (I guess his would technically fall under the "glamping" guidelines lol). What sealed the deal for me, along with my hubby &son, happened later in Saturday's afternoon when an old friend whom I grew up with came by the hotel for a quick catch up since she lives not too far away. I met her in the lobby (along with my husband & 5 year old son) for a drink, the bar is kind of hidden/nesseled in the corner of the lobby I'm guessing that was meticulously planned to keep guests whom aren't partaking won't be bothered by those of us who were, and again the staff was as accommodating as the staff I'd encountered. The bartenders did a great job giving us ideas of cool places we could go grab a bite, where the closest Starbucks was (even though they brew Starbucks in the lobby I still love my venti skim white chocolate mocha lol) along with letting us know that it was pride weekend in Columbus so we should plan our Uber ride (mostly just scheduling the Uber earlier than we planned & how long it would take us to get to the destination we asked him about). INCREDIBLY HELPFUL!!!! All in all we were a happy family when we left & if we should ever be in that area again we'll DEFINITELY be...

Extremely Negligent and Unsafe – Do Not Trust This Hotel

I had an absolutely terrifying experience at this hotel due to their complete lack of safety protocols and staff negligence. My husband got stuck in the elevator near the 5th floor, about a foot or so below where it needs to be to successfully open the door and continue normal performance. Luckily he had his cell phone and called me. I immediately tried calling the front desk from my room, and then from my cell—no one answered. My husband also called from inside the elevator from the emergency phone—still no answer. I then called 911 myself and had them dispatch the fire dept.

When I finally got the attention of a front desk employee by yelling HELLO, he came out of the break room looking confused. I told him my husband is stuck in the elevator. He proceeded to press elevator buttons from the 1st floor then ran to the 5th to try to unlock the doors himself, despite me explicitly telling him not to touch anything and that I had called the fire department. His reckless actions could have caused serious injury.

He managed to open the elevator doors and my husband managed to get out(only bc it was fully at the 5th floor at that point), and the fire department arrived shortly after. The fire dept scolded the employee multiple times for what he had done, clearly explaining that it was NOT his job to attempt to operate the elevator during an emergency.

This entire situation highlights a complete lack of training, emergency procedures, and basic responsibility on the part of the hotel staff. This is not just poor service—it is dangerous. I cannot recommend staying here to anyone who values their safety. After reviewing all of the low star reviews it seems like this hotel has had issues with this elevator for over two years, but STILL CHOOSES to jeopardize their guest's safety.

Waking up the next morning- no signs near or on the elevator doors showing it was out of service. Not sure if they "fixed" it again or they are just crossing their fingers no one dies the next time...
