The Absolute Worst Travel Experience of My Life—Avoid at All Costs

If there were an option for zero stars, I would choose it. While the unit looks decent on the surface, actually accessing it is a nightmare beyond human comprehension. It took us two agonizing hours at night to finally step into the unit—two hours of hauling heavy luggage up FOUR FLOORS because both elevators critical for access were out of order. To make matters worse, Kasa didn’t even bother to inform us about this beforehand.

Traveling with a child and an elderly person should have been factored into their so-called “tech-driven hotel alternative” experience. Instead, we were greeted with apathy and generic, unhelpful responses from their customer service team. After calling and chatting multiple times, all we got was the equivalent of “oh well, we’ll put in a request.” No urgency, no actionable solutions—just vague, useless instructions on how to use the stairs to carry our luggage.

The stairs. FOUR FLOORS of stairs. With heavy luggage. At night.

The entire ordeal was absurdly cumbersome, borderline traumatic, and completely unacceptable. Kasa’s entire brand is supposedly built on convenience and technology, but in reality, it’s a façade. Their systems don’t work, their support is apathetic, and their promises are empty. At this point, even a Motel 6 would have been a better option—at least they don’t pretend to be something they’re not.

Do yourself a favor and AVOID Kasa Highland Park Dallas at all costs. This isn’t just a bad experience—it’s a cautionary tale for anyone considering trusting this brand. Save your time, money, and sanity, and book literally...

Words can not express how great this company is and the accommodations… my mother just passed away which has been so devastating… while I’m also facing a divorce and a bankruptcy and I have an autistic child … so needless to say I decided to not book a hotel because I have children and I needed my space to just be…and I never heard of an apart-hotel before…the apartment was absolutely beautiful! There’s tea, coffee, fresh linen, and the building is very quiet… they have all of the utensils you’re going to need… with high speed wifi which is a must since my work travels with me… I spoke about my situation a little with customer service and on my last day I was met with the nicest young lady who brought a gift and she stated she was just thinking about me… LET ME TELL YOU THAT 5 stars is NOT ENOUGH!!! This company is the best! Customer Service is a 10 accommodations 10 cleanliness 10 overall just a wonderful experience! And let me tell you the prices can not be beat! When we do decide to travel I will be booking with Kasa… truly a blessing and peace no matter what...

So many problems.July trip booked at Arlington location in March as a graduation gift near the MLB All-Star events (less driving, less gas and no reason to pay parking).2 hrs b/f arrival, “Arlington unable to host you due to maint issue unresolved b/f arrival & now sold out.”Availability at the Highland Park location (35 min away). At first, Ac related issue then became a cockroach issue. They agreed to reimburse up to $120 for game parking which they did. Upon arrival, designated parking was taken, then suggested is taken, finally found one. Elevator stopped working for 2 days and inconvenient long walk to another. Fire alarm & outside from 11:30pm to 12:30am. One shower with low water pressure, other faucet turned back on when turned too far. The 4th floor halls smelled horrid due to trash room with open door. I reported all as it occurred and was just told sorry and value my feedback but no action taken to show they valued, just empty words. KASA rents poorly managed places where they are unable to solve any issues making for a bad experience and wasted...

The smell in the apartment was terrible, when I complained I got air freshener dropped off which was nice. however it didn't solve the issues. I found rotten chicken in the bottom of the trash can under the trash bag. I cleaned that out in the bath tub it helped a little. However the smell in the hallway and into the apartment was atrocious. I might as well have stayed in the garbage dump because that is exactly what it smelled like 24/7 I was nauseas every time I got off the elevator. I would like for a representative to walk the 3rd floor near the Kasa apartments and tell me that is an acceptable smell. The second issue is my friends' car was towed when they stopped by. There is a clear sign on the gate that states (I have a photo) Numbered spots are reserved and will be towed at owners expense. They were not parked in any spot that was numbered or stated reserved. They were only parked there for less than 1.5 hours and it was towed over 30 minutes away had to drive there and then pay $170 to get the car back.

Fantastic location near downtown Dallas. Virtual check in was easy with excellent instructions. Great facilities. Including a full kitchen. good washing machine and dryer ( no meed for a laundromat). Full size fridge and a hot water kettle. Coffee pods tea bags milk washing pods all provided. Both rooms have ensuites. Pull-out sofa-bed that is surprisingly comfortable. Walk to Krogers supermarket if you dare to walk in the heat. Train station nearby. Chines, tacos and pizza downstairs. 2 pubs across the road and a japanese restaurant across the road. SMU is a 1 minute (if that) drive down the road. Easy access to freeway 75 in both directions. All freeway driving from DFW to the off ramp 2 minutes away.

Not sure if I'd recommend this place to others. There were just as many cons as there were pros. Pros: -the apartment comes equipped with most of what you'll need. -very quiet -beds are comfortable - restaurants downstairs Cons: -bugs all over the apartment (pictures attached) -mold (picture attached) -some ceiling lights were not functioning properly. -drunks around the property during the weekend
