Do not join this club. You will be stuck.
I went in to cancel my membership due to a medical issue, and found out the hard way that Patricia Dennis lies, and says anything to have you maintain your membership at this club. I was told that with a doctor's note, the membership could be placed on hold, indefinitely, with no penalty, until I was ready to come back. I also placed all of this in writing to her, to document our understanding. Do not trust anything they say regarding payments and commitments. They don't respond in writing on purpose, and ask you to sign without reading what you are signing. Not only do they do not respond to e mail, but also phone messages. I have left 3 messages in 3 days for Rajshad the club manager, and have not recieved a return phone call. Olivia is the only one in management who seems to keep her word, and treat clients with the respect they deserve. I ended up stuck with $150 charge I was told initially that I would not have, because my membership would have been on hold "indefinitely".
I have been a member here for a few years. Despite it being a top level club, the experience here was always subpar, compared to their other clubs in Garland, Plano, Colleyville, and Ft. Worth...which I have all been to and worked out at. The staff claim it is because they inherited many issues from the previous property tenant. These issues are substantial, including sewage leaks into the entire shower, bathroom and locker room area, and drain flies carrying bacteria and disease living in their pipes. They should be reported to the department of health. Equipment is frequently sweaty and gross, and in the free weight section, weights are frequently left in place. During aerobics classes, the entire ceiling bounces, the TV's in the treadmill section are usually broken, and there is no adequate audio feed. Classes are frequently held in a manner in which they interfere with others as well.
Join another club. Equinox, although expensive, is likely a much better experience, 24 hour, or even LA fitness is probably...
Read moreI received an absolute horrible experience at this Lifetime Fitness location. The representatives and manager offered no empathy or compassion for a potential customer and received absolutely horrendous customer service after booking an appointment.
I called in advanced and placed a free trial appointment for this location with Mackenzie to play basketball, which she and Gunner confirmed (I am a former professional athlete). I never received her email for the appointment even when I called twice to confirm my email with her. Good leadership at this location is lacking, and and their reps seem to have no respect for customer looking to take advantage of the great facility, location and area.
I was absolutely shocked, and would have gladly paid a fee to use the facilities for only one day, even at the over-priced $40 per person. However, my fear is my last name, MARTINEZ, carried weight at this location. I pray this is not true, especially at a time where racial discrimination is a major issue in the states. I found myself being kicked out of a gym that I booked an initial consultation 2 days before. A gym I was seriously interested in signing up for at an overpriced $150 a month. Never have I felt more disrespected by a business and pray some improvements occur within communication and training of their sales reps. I expect an explanation of how this could possibly happen at any of your locations, and if you don’t allow free trials, don’t book an appointment with potential customers and swiftly kick them out when they arrive.
I have previously been a lifetime member in the Plano location and absolutely will never walk into a LifeTime Fitness center again after this...
Read moreMORE LIKE LIFETIME FILTH I am currently a member at Equinox off Oak Lawn but have recently moved not too far from the Lifetime Dallas Athletic so I decided to check it out – never again. I went early one morning and was sold on all of the amenities they offer, eucalyptus towels (which they have at Equinox), bathroom products etc…. After the tour – I wasn’t impressed but decided to stay and workout after I went through the sales pitch and here is what I saw. Bugs! Tiny little things all over the shower. I looked them up and they are called “drain flies” – I also took a video as this was the main reason I am writing this review. They were in every shower I went to – I ended up going home to shower. The eucalyptus towels - which was so predominately mentioned during the sales pitch as an amenity they offer just like Equinox - were nowhere to be found – I saw two empty fridges before I found one fridge that had about 6 towels over by the cardio equipment. TVs on treadmills didn’t work (I tried 4 different machines) 3 didn’t work and 1 only had a couple of channels which didn’t flicker. For the price - nothing in this gym feels luxurious. The locker rooms look outdated - bathroom stalls smelled of urine, the whirlpool had a ring around the edge which looked like it had been there for weeks and the light canisters in the ceiling are rusted and look as though they could fall out at any moment. My overall review – Equinox is worth the price tag – this place is...
