The owner of this place must be getting kickbacks from the potential illicit activities being run out of here, because I do see any other reason for it to be still standing. Do not go near it. For this review…there is a lot to cover. Late my first night I walked into the lobby to a receptionist that seemed not to happy to see me, and seemed rather bothered that I was interrupting their soap opera. At first glance my room appeared okay, the usual budget motel rundown feel, but I soon grew to despise my pre-reserved room for the 5 days that I stayed there. Night one I ate at a nearby establishment. Due to the convenience and the late hour I chose to eat there against my best judgment. The next morning, as I was paying the price for my dinner in my bathroom, a giant cockroach came flying around the corner right at face level. Fortunately, I was able to utilize my impressive towel swinging skills to knock this 2 inch beast out of the air. I doubt the thin walls muffled my screams of terror. For the rest of my stay I moved all of the furniture away from the walls and I used towels to block the gaps in the front door to prevent the roaches from coming into my room. Those towels stayed there the entire time, because after night 1 my room was not cleaned until my last night there. Nothing was comfortable, so much of my sleeping was not refreshing at all, and who knows how many roaches had journeyed into and out of my mouth that week. I tried not to venture out of my room when I was in the area, because the one time I did I was accosted by someone wanting 20 dollars to help pay for a room there as well. That night I slept with the fear of waking up to 4 flat tires on the rental. This motel could care less about the quality of its rooms and the quality of its patrons. I could tell right away that I was the wrong place, and by day two I had deeply regretted my choice to stay there. Since everything there was a joke, including the “continental breakfast” of cereal and bananas, and my bent shower curtain rod that clumped the curtain only in the middle of the shower. I had to laugh about the state of it all, knowing that I was the dolt that had signed up to stay here. If you value your comfort, your bowels and possibly your life do not stay here! I agree that this place should be bulldozed; even the motels a few blocks away looked 100 times...
Read moreThis place is so so much better than the red roof in Plano. The beds are comfortable, the staff is super nice. I’ve only found one ice machine and it doesn’t work which kinda sucks. also the bathtubs are super slippery but all red roof bathtubs are, I really think they should fix that or leave a mat in the room to put in the tub so it’s not as slippery. Edit: the WiFi also isn’t that great and every so often I have to renter the password.
Staying here now 12/30/2023 and the room I’m in the tv sound goes in and out, there is one light switch that literally controls the power in the entire room and the beds are obviously worn out, the floors are also absolutely filthy but for a hotel I feel that’s a bit nit picky. Oh yeah, and they have two washer and dryers now and the dryers actually work but are 3 freaking dollars to wash and another 3 to dry! That’s just insane! Unfortunately I don’t have my vehicle right now so if I was to take an Uber to a laundromat I’d end up spending the same 😫 Oh yeah and the most convenient part of this entire hotel, the Walmart right next to it: HAS CLOSED DOWN! That was the best part of staying at this room!
Oh yeah and the last time I had stayed here, the housekeeping was arriving just as I was leaving, she asked me what needed to be done in the room and literally all I asked for was clean sheets. When I got back I noticed that she made the bed with the same sheets so I called the office and told them what happened and then went to run an errand. When I woke up the next day a piece of shredded cheese fell out of the bed with me and my daughter is extremely allergic to milk so I knew that didn’t come from me. When I went to the restroom I noticed that the skin that was touching the bed was broken out so bad in this terrible itchy and painful rash. I went to the doctor and even they had no clue! This housekeeper was different from the one that normally came through there, the one that normally came through was super nice and me and her had an understanding lol I’d tell her what I needed and just clean the room myself basically. I can’t believe that someone would do something like this to someone else. At that point I had been staying here more than a month. Like the last person said, I don’t suggest staying here for extended periods of time but for 3-5...
Read moreHad to stay for emergency basis, was only looking to stay a few weeks. I ended up extending through priceline since I have Gold VIP membership. At check-in first day, the couple in front of me at the check-out had their room broken into and items stolen. That same night a lady was heard screaming and a gentleman yelling as their room was also being broken into. At the time I wasn't worried as I had my dogs with me. I paid by the week, which they came everyday after being told on Tues. and Thurs. only. Not my problem . Second week same. Except for Wed. lady came to collect sheets, I asked to replace towels, she told me I'm by the week. When they'd been coming daily. Went to the pool with special needs child, states clearly no diving, one of the cleaning employees had brought her child and husband, who proceeded to do dives off the side of the pool into 4 ft. of water. Guess the rules only apply for paying guests. I then had to extend my stay, paid my fee $450 online the night before, went to the store in the morning to come back to our room to be told we had to leave. No reason why. But we know why, don't we RED ROOF! Because I was paying $50 a night through priceline and you were charging walk-ins $95. BAD BUSINESS. Even when 2 of my son's almost got hit by a fallen tree branch in your dog run from the dead tree in it. They moved the huge branch to keep from impeding other guests. I'm still waiting for my $450 to be refunded to me for a week I...
