Rock Barrell — Local services in Dallas

I absolutely love this store! The staff is just fantastic and the items are priced very reasonably. I just wish I hadn't moved all the way to Denton. I loved spending hours up there looking at everything. Several times a week sometimes. The staff didn't seem to mind me hanging out up there. Could have been pity because they know I'm disabled and have really nothing else to do besides make jewelry and add to my rock collection. But I prefer to think that it was just because they are amazing people who are happy to see others who are passionate about rocks. I was always grateful for their kindness because I had a very negative experience with a similar kind of shop that was located in Richardson. Fortunately I found the Rock Barrel after that and have since had nothing but great experiences with them. These are definitely the kind of people you prefer to be receiving your money at the end of the day. Its always better to have a family owned business with great stock and an even greater staff be the ones who profit from your patronage! I’m in need of a very specific bracelet and I looked up crystal shops in the area… this one has seemingly good reviews so I decided to try it out. I walked in, there were three ladies working, none of which greeted me or even attempted a smile. I walked throughout the store to try and find what I needed, at which point while I was at the back of the store I noticed the younger woman of the three watching me. Still, no smile, no attempt to help. I’m a minority and immediately felt this was deliberate so I left. I will never go back. Also, any crystal shop I enter causes a dizzying feeling for me. Not gonna lie prices are good, but yesterday my friend and I went and overheard something incredibly rude. A lady went in there and bought stuff and was talking to the lady at the register. The customer mentioned her dead brother and next thing I know the guy at the the register just dismissed her and said “next customer “ and the lady the customer was talking to just walked away. The customer grabbed her large box and walked out cause basically she was ignored. We actually left cause we found it so rude.
