Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Delran Township

This Chipotle just opened and I thought I would give it a try. This store is quite small, but maybe all Chipotle locations are this small. The music was pleasant, but far too loud, especially when the loud HVAC fan is on. It is incredibly difficult to hear the people behind the counter, especially the women. The place is fairly clean, but when I arrived there were a number of unclean, smeary tabletops.

I wanted to try their new, hyped Braised Beef Barbacoa, but you guessed it, they didn’t have any. So I settled for a Chicken Burrito. I was barely into the burrito when it started to fall apart part at the bottom. The tortillas that I use at home do a much better job. What a mess! The contents of the burrito didn’t have much flavor. I could taste the brown rice and that was about it, in spite of having a watery queso sauce.

What really torques me is that Chipotle still does not have a self-serve bar with multiple kinds of salsa and pico de gallo. Yes, I would expect them to keep the guacamole and watery queso behind the counter, but this is 2025, be like other similar establishments and install a salsa bar. I added their Chips & Salsa to my order, but I ran out of salsa long before I finished the chips. I should be able to serve myself and get more salsa, and maybe it would have made the burrito a bit tastier.

So in summary, try a different quick-serve establishment. There are a number of good stores that really have excellent food, especially CAVA (a very nice Mediterranean experience with plenty of choices). And if you’re going to advertise certain food, make sure you have it in stock, otherwise take the damn signage down until you do. If you do insist on eating here, they do have a number of outdoor tables...

i love chipotle-even through the ebola allegations but i draw the line at whatever their staff got going on rn. i ordered a burrito and bc of my combo of toppings, it was hard to roll. i get that. but seeing the food come off of the tortilla and on to the already dirty service counter and putting it back in is CRAZY. i was hungry so i would’ve forgiven that but the reason i won’t be returning to this location is because another employee displayed gross food handling protocols and im too icked to even consider returning. bringing an overflowing trash bin to the counter so u can swipe food in WHILE serving is effing gross. to make matters worse, she pushed the trash down with the gloves she was prepping orders with, didn’t change the gloves, wiped her hands on her pants + apron (which is sus in itself because after the trash?????) then resumed preparing and taking orders. i was excited about this location but i can’t go back in good...

Very disappointing. I went there today to order a burrito with extra chicken. The guy behind the counter clearly didn’t know how to fold a burrito so half of the contents fell out all over there counter as pictured. They barely had any corn or veggies left so the guy just gave me whatever was left. However most of it fell out when he was trying to fold the burrito. So they put all of their ingredients that weren’t splattered all over the counter into another tortilla wrap. At this point the burrito was half its original size and they still tried to charge me $15 for the burrito with extra chicken. When I said why do I have to pay extra since all my ingredients including the chicken fell out, the lady gave me an attitude and said “well you asked for extra chicken” I said but half of it is now on your counter and you threw it away. She offered to make me a new burrito but as I stated the corn and veggies were all gone. Terrible...
