I was not expecting a resort by any means and I have stayed at this chain elsewhere before, but it was much worse. The lobby where you check in was nice but once I had I was sent to a building over that was not in as good of shape. The room had a musty and unclean smell, several items like the fridge and lamps were scratched, stained, and the room was not remotely soundproofed. I was able to hear conversations, movement, dogs barking, construction, and traffic as though they were right in the room with me. It wasn’t possible that I’d be able to sleep there for 3 nights.
I contacted Priceline to see about making other arrangements and was told they’d start the process to cancel my reservation but that I would need to go back to the desk and explain the situation. I did so and apologized to the staff saying that I would be switching hotels because of my concerns with the room and the complex. One of the staff was quiet and pleasant but the other was incredibly rude, telling me they never receive complaints, that I’d needed to “humor them” and switch rooms, and that they don’t agree to giving out refunds. I apologized again and said that I wasn’t trying to be difficult but I wasn’t comfortable in those circumstances and I needed to leave. The staff member then just told me sarcastically to have a nice day.
No apologies, no questions, no thoughtfulness at all - just gaslighting and rudeness. Really hope other guests don’t have a...
Read moreThis place is new (as in the signage is new/new ownership), and I get it, look at the price point, I realize I’m not saying at the Four Seasons (much closer to Four Seasons Landscaping). But this contract is very simple. Check in is at 3 and check out is at 11. Don’t trash the place. Be respectful.
Having said that, it is seemingly mandatory for their housekeeping staff to patently ignore the 1st and 3rd points. If not even laugh in their faces. This housekeeping staff will start banging on your door a little before 9am. You may open your door and tell them you are still in the room. You may confirm what the current time is. You may confirm with them that you have rented this room till 11am. You may even be in a work meeting. But they may still continue to pound on your door 5 or 6 additional times between 9 and 11am and be actually yelling to each other outside your door during that time.
I have stayed at some very nice places in my life, and I’ve stayed at places worse than this hotel…but none have been as incessant and outright disrespectful as the housekeeping staff at this place. Trying to get you out of the room that you paid any amount of money to rent, so they can go home early.
I’ll add, that I may not be rich, but I stayed here bc I’m cheap, and even if you were rich or less than well off, that shouldn’t matter when the contract here is as simple as it is.
3pm check in. 11am check out. Don’t trash the...
Read moreThis was almost a great stay—nice staff and fair price. However, the cleaning staff did not notice that I had added an extra night and threw my stuff away the day before I left. This would have been fine if they had placed my belongings in storage. Instead, I was told (after waiting hours) that my items had been thrown away. After looking into it, they determined that refunding me half of one night ($42) was appropriate—despite the fact that the value of my belongings (new) would be at least $300 (though no more than $330–$350).
I called, and they said they could not justify giving me more since they could not confirm what was there—despite them being the ones who threw it away rather than placing it in storage.
Given this experience, I can only recommend this place if you take all of your belongings with you at all times. I was here for the 2025 American Educational Research Association (AERA) and National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME) conference, and I do not recommend anyone stay here for any professional conference...
