I don’t often post critical reviews but I was very frustrated by this situation. I want to start off by saying that the location is great if you want to stay away from the noise of the city, rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was nice. The only complaint I have is about a situation with one of the front desk staff Susan. On Friday Sept. 1st, we came back from a trip around 6pm. We went up to our room only to realize our key cards do not work. My partner and I went down to the front desk to get them fixed. When we told the front desk staff, Susan, that our key cards don’t work, she held up a small device and told us this was why we couldn’t get into the room. Confused, I asked what it was and she replied it was the thermostat and that it was found in our room on the floor. I told her we did not know how that happened considering we left around 9:30am that day and did not come back until 6pm. The cleaning staff cleaned our room before we left for the day and did not inform us of anything broken and we did not break or see anything broken before we left. She said “Well, I wanted to show you so it doesn’t happen again, okay?”. I did not appreciate the accusatory tone considering we have been out all day and came back to a locked room only to find out it was because they thought we broke something that we did not. I’m not sure who else came into our room to find the broken thermostat because like I previously mentioned, the woman who cleaned our room did not say anything to us before she left. I let it go and did not make a fuss. Now that we have checked out I received our final bill. We were charged $100 that same day for “damages”. The charge was reversed the next day Sept. 2nd so there is nothing that I will be disputing but I do find it extremely unprofessional to not mention that there was going to be a charge for this especially when I am certain we did not break it off the wall. It could have been bumped when the room was cleaned, the previous guests could have loosened it, it might have been old and fell off, etc. At the very least a discussion was warranted before putting a charge on our final bill. I do not feel comfortable paying for something I believe we were not responsible for. I appreciate the reversal...
Read moreI traveled to Denver from New Orleans to help a friend whom lost her family due a medical emergency. During the course of getting her treatment I was locked out of her appartment I found this property after walking a mile at 10pm in an area I had never been. I was treated so rudely by the front desk because I didn't have access to my CC with 500 on me to pay for a room bc my card was locked in my friends apartment. I could have used my points to pay but was so distraught I didn't think about it....Note, I'm a Hilton Honor's Member for 10 year. My phone was almost dead and I simply asked the guy at the front desk if I could charge my phone to find another Hilton that I had enough cash in my wallet to pay for. He informed me the policy is if you are not registered you have to leave the property. As I'm crying bc of emergency situation I was in he showed no empathy or care for my safety or wellbeing. My phone died as I was walking the streets of downtown Denver with my suitcase searching for another hotel. I have never been treated so unprofessionally as a Hiltons Honor Member by an employee of any Hilton Property. Imagine wondering the streets of a strange city with no phone, a suitcase and not knowing where to find a hotel. TERRIBLE JOB HILTON...... this happened about 10pm...
Read moreSo the staff was friendly to a point I felt like it was forced but that was ok the part that was annoying Is the television was not working and when I called the front desk she said well the construction going on down the street cut a line so the whole area is down right now nothing I can do about it and I'm sure I wasn't the only one that called but I was not expecting the attitude when calling about the problem I understand things happen but when you work with the public maybe have a nicer attitude about things so we went down to the pool to try to relax and they were doing some work or something making alot of noise pounding and pounding very loudly so we went back to the room and went to sleep we decided to give it another try and get the room for another night and was told the room would be close to $200 more for one night so at that point I wished the clerk a great day and we checked out and took our family staycation elsewhere I felt some type of way about the situation so we just left and I really hope that maybe I was just a little sensitive and that they don't treat people differently but this was my experience hopefully it will be better for others thanks for reading have...
