I stayed here during a difficult time and it was one of the worst establishments I have ever seen. I wouldn't call this a hotel for it was seriously dilapidated and filthy. The halls, stairs, lobby, elevator, laundry room etc etc was utterly disgusting. The old bar area is vacant with no floor and very creepy. The shower sprayed everywhere seemed to be missing caulking tape. There was a LARGE hole in the bathroom on the floor which you could actually see the water running through it, not to mention the shrunken burnt shower liner. People were living in the stairwells with an awful smell of urine. The door key does open the doors, it was missing at one point with a hole for the deadbolt, repaired but remain inoperable. Actually there were no working exterior doors with a working other than the front lobby. Sketchy people wandering the floors as well as all around the property. Linen was stained, if they gave you any. The beds were cheap, squeaky loud, burn holes, large holes.... They did a fake cleaning of my room which only the trash bags were changed but MY MONEY was cleaned out though. They took my plant table, said they lost the glass while placing it in a LOCKED storage, junk area. They could care less, never followed through on locating, not even a call back. Someone even went through my undergarments inside the drawers. They stated they are not responsible, even after informing me that it was safely locked away. They treat you like trash because they lack any work ethic, customer service skills, or dependable staff members. I could write a book on the ratchet foolishness I had to endure at this facility. There isn't enough space to mention the rear building they call the 'U'...I refused to take a room in this building for it should be against the law to ask for payment in such a dump. The employees must be extremely desperate to steal from their guests. Not one of the housekeepers spoke English, not even broken English. It was so hard to communicate, lots of pointing, speaking through language apps which never had the incorrect responses. That's not fair for the employee nor the guest to be unable to understand each other. I wouldn't recommend this building if...
Read moreNeed to take this hotel off our list to go to. Worst experience I have ever had. Refused to give us new towels for shower, said they don't do that. Said that we aren't allow a pillow. Had 5 different names from changing names, so very confusing to find. Most of the hotel is just cement. Front desk personal were very rude. Blow dryer didn't work. Husband took a shower and had people pounding on our door asking why we used the shower because it was leaking below. When we got to the room we had to open the window because it smelt straight like the sewer lines. Do not do breakfast and said it's for only special guest? But never got told what that was? Our keys didn't work at all had to get them fixed because I stuck them in my pocket. Was told I couldn't do that! Then said after hours and 4 trips to the hotel to see if our room was ready tried to ask the maid to let us in so we can put our luggage in to go back down and the front desk said they were going to go off on the maid. But the maid didn't speak English I just held up my room card to show the number. Paper thin walls. U can hear everything. Including cars ect. NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND. Horrible Horrible. It doesn't look like they have vacuumed their stairs in months. And was told maid service is not done daily. I did not even feel our stuff was safe in the room. Took our stuff with us everywhere. Shower had ZERO water pressure, I've been gone most of my trip out of the room! But if I wasn't I would have moved hotels in a heartbeat. Most of the time the front desk didn't even have someone at it. My reservation said quality inn, my email confirmation said super 8 by wyndham. I get here and it's budget inn and inn at highland. I asked the front desk where I could find super 8 and she asked me if I know why I am here like if I was on drugs! Their credit card machines didn't work to buy a pop. Had to try several times before they said okay our system must not be working. It honestly is scary looking like homeless people everywhere. I'm so glad I leave early in the am! I did this reservation thru the ticketsatwork, and already emailed them saying they shouldn't have this hotel at all on there because...
Read moreVisited Denver with my partner to go to a concert. We had a successful stay! The biggest problem with this place is they don’t set proper expectations. You, along with me, looked into this place based on the price. Yet most people review this place as if they booked a $150/ night room! This is not the case. If you stay here, you are booking a “Motel 6” that lives in the body of someone’s hopes and dreams from 20 years ago. With that in mind, I’ll share a few details to help manage your expectations:
As of 10/11/2024 • No breakfast (coffee available in the lobby from 6-9 am) • Pool is closed for the season • Gym has 5 cardio machines only, no weights • Some booking sites say there’s no late check in, but they DO check you in as late as 4 am • Front desk workers are used to dealing with the worst of us. Remember, this isn’t a luxury hotel. You gotta think of it as a motel 6 that moved into this building. When we first got there to check in, one worker was arguing on the phone with someone trying to get a refund. She was really good at arguing, not gonna lie, so don’t try it. She also loudly complained about other guests in front of us to her coworker. I would have expected everyone to be more professional, but then I remembered how much I paid for our 3 night stay, and I didn’t expect that anymore. All the other workers were quite friendly. • If there is an issue, they can accommodate to a degree!
Tips for a successful stay: • There is a Safeway grocery store barely walking distance (we walked there and took a Lyft back for less than $8). We did this to stock up on some breakfast items. They do sell frozen breakfast items in the lobby but I preferred to get it from the store. They had a mini fridge and microwave in our room to store everything. • If you’re planing on spending time downtown, this is a great cheap location! Every Lyft we took was quick and cheap. Especially close to meow wolf. • Beautiful view as well • Close to a lovely ice cream place I highly recommend called Little...
