We were visiting Denver and looking for a place for my wife and I to make out and judge people.
Wowy this place has it all, beautiful, natural picturess scene, framed by big city progress and all the trappings.
Thee ambience of a deep wood camping weekend combined with the smell of a long overdue emptying of a construction zone porta potty.
This place offers the best of both worlds, at any moment you could witness the beauty of nature as two birds procreate in the cooling mist of the waterfalls off shoot, the upstream efforts of a spawning salmon struggling against instinct and survival. Then in the same moment catch the rapid movement of a plastic grocery bag and 20 oz coke bottle racing downstream, and the competitive nature of two homeless men trying to poop on them for points, hi-a-top the over passing bridge.
Beauty comes in a variety of sounds, smells and scenes, and no place I know captures all if them as wonderfully and amusingly as Confluence...
Read moreWonderful park. I here it is going to be demolished in the next few years for some reason to do with new housing going up where Six flags currently resides. So if that comes to fruition, you want to enjoy Confluence while you can. I find right around sunset is a perfect time to visit park. Park is usually deserted around then and the sunsets and water are a nice thing to take in at the end of the day. REI is literally 5 feet away. The aquarium and children's museum is also a short 5 minute walk away. If you take in those with your kids I found Confluence park was a great place to end the day at. Or maybe take in Children's museum got to Confluence for a picnic lunch then finish up at the Aquarium. Not a lot of close(within walking distance) places to grab food. You can at Children's museum and Aquarium but that will cost you a good amount more money compared to the...
Read moreI love riding my bike through this place I normally come from Cherry Creek right all the way down to confluence Park on my first round if I am going to come back to it all rest there before heading back to Cherry Creek. There is a vendor down there that sells hot dogs and bratwurst and chips and Gatorade which sometimes I will buy because it's just a great place to get refueled on the trip back to Cherry Creek but I appreciate that vendor being there and I don't even know his name but he's always been there if she shows up at about 10:00 a.m. or so in the morning and I'm usually down there somewhere between then and 1:00 so I don't know what time he ends the service down there but it's great that he is there to help us all out.
This location is just a great place...
