I LOVE SAM & THE BARE BAR IN GENERAL! I've lived next to this space for going on 6 years, and as soon as I noticed that a beauty-oriented biz moved in recently, I was excited. I just had my best friend's wedding in Chicago, and needed to be on my A game beauty wise. I was in desperate need of some help, considering that I'm 5'3 and haven't tended to myself since COVID hit, etc. I have been so nervous knowing I'd be surrounded by a sea of model-esque blonde gazelles that I grew up surrounded by, and for a huge important life event no less. Sam gave me a Brazilian wax, spray tan, eyelash lift and eyebrow tinting & lamination. I haven't had any kind of wax for over a decade so I was petrified. We ended up talking and laughing the entire time, and she made this not fun for anyone type of treatment a genuine BLAST. I was in zero pain, and was even bummed when it was over. After my spray tan and beauty treatments were done, I turned out to be the hit of the wedding. I have never felt so beautiful and confident. Not only do I feel like I have a new professional beauty and self love guru in Sam, I also feel as though I have gained a new friend. I cannot speak highly enough of this place, this girl, and the experiences I have had so far @ The Bare Bar. Every day when I walk by I make sure to pop my head in and say what's up to the new gentleman on the team, JD, who is also awesome and so fun to be around. If I had to share one complaint about this place...It would be that I have not yet had the time to try on and buy all of their cute clothes downstairs. This place has it all. The Bare Bar has certainly earned every single 5 star review- it really is that great! I have booked brow waxing appointments and one facial. I moved away from my previous esthetician of 10 years, and it was so hard finding someone new. Luckily I found the Bare Bar! I was instantly comforted and Ashlie performed some brow mapping so I knew exactly what she would be waxing and how it would look. She kept my brows full and in a natural shape.

The one facial I had was their pumpkin enzyme facial and my skin was super happy and glowing. Katie did a great job with effective extractions as well as a relaxing facial.

The studio is comfortable, chic, and CLEAN. They have done such a fantastic job with COVID precautions and keeping everyone safe. You are guaranteed a great experience form the start with friendly staff, a welcome drink, and skilled estheticians who help tailor the experience to you. The Bare Bar offers such a variety of services to help you love on yourself. You’ll always find that you want to come back for more!

I’ve walked by several times wanting to go in however I was nervous as I’ve had bad eyebrow waxing services/experiences in the past that have caused anxiety…. When I say I needed my eyebrows done please understand I needed them done!!! I finally walked in saw Sam, she had a smile on her face and was so inviting. She listened to my horror stories and gave me a free consultation right there! I felt comfortable and booked an appointment with her. When I returned for the service I was nervous, showed her a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that!!! I was so happy I wanted to cry!!!!
