The first thing I want to say is the hotel shelter itsself is located out in the Boondox away from anything in walking distance, Shoping,Restraunts, buss stops, Truckstops ect,... ** It should be the Hotel shelter's responsability/ People that runs the shelters responsability to provide adiquate transpertation to the resedents there at the shelter,.. So that there not left there trapped inside feeling like prisoners becasue you all wont provide adiquate transpertation for people,....
Secondlly for as long as I have been at this shelter phasility, this shelter phasility has experenced Cockroaches threwout the whole building for 3 years now Mice threwout this whole building for 2 years Accodeing to other Maintence staff,.. have told me Managment that runs this shelter gets exterminators in to remove the mice and cockroaches,..BUT just in sertan areas for example: Just takes care of the Mice and Cockroaches on Level 1 and Level 3 But does not take care of the mice and cockroaches in the main Lounge area entrance on Level one, Level one, 2,3, 4, & 5 getting all of the Cockroaches and mice out at once wich they SHOULD-BE doing and choose not to do,... They just choose to eave other areas of this hotel shelter affected/ Infected,.... Cockroaches and mice contain Viruses and disieses guys resendents here I belive have gotten sick in he past due to these issues and the shelter managment-Staff has chosen not to get rid of all of the cockroahes and mice all at once,,.. wich again should be happening.

The roofs are caved in and have fallen threw the building of the lobby on level 1 the building itself was built in 1974 and is known to have Aspestos.

This was a special experience. I originally booked this hotel as my wife and I were in town for a concert at Red Rocks and it was one of only locations that provided an in-room kitchenette including refrigerator. From the highway and even as we unloaded our things into the lobby, it looked okay. Let’s just say the more you looked, the more flaws you noticed. It seems as if this was a hotel that was recently bought, or undergoing a transition.
The Good:
The lobby, and thankfully our room, were clean and well maintained. Everything worked for the most part. The staff were always available when we needed and maybe had some language barriers, but nothing that affected us. However, whenever I walked by they always seemed to be more concerned with cell phones and had AirPods in.
The Bad:
It didn’t take us long to notice the flaws as there were obvious stains, and smells coming from various areas. After we checked in, we began down the hallway towards the elevator there were holes in the ceiling all over where security wires were halfway installed. The carpet in the hallway were “well-trafficked” and everything seemed either somewhat new, or old and in disrepair.
When we got to our room that’s when the smell hit us. It was unbearable, like something was dying. We were afraid to explore or ask questions. The 2nd or 3rd day, the mysterious smell went away but we were very concerned, this only further grew when we ‘explored’ the rest of the surrounding area. Our room was missing a trash can or ice bucket, the trash can ended up outside our door, the ice bucket though? Never made it’s way to us despite requesting it. This location does not provide new towels unless asked either. However, to their credit they let us know this during check-in.
The breakfast had the same add water powdered egg, gritty mixture each morning with either sausage patties or links, and a waffle bar with assorted pastries. Aside from the eggs and same lukewarm, kind of translucent gray sausages you’ve seen before, overall the included breakfast wasn’t terrible. The waffles and yogurt were actually pretty good!
The Ugly:
We felt VERY unsafe staying here. Anytime in the lobby there were shady people coming and going, mysterious people just sitting in their cars outside, and it wasn’t uncommon to see people laying/sleeping on the concrete outside the lobby. Then we started noticing more and more of the homeless population, sketchy/weird vehicles abandoned (and lived in) and vandalized property everywhere around us. We made the mistake of taking a walk near the trail that runs along the hotel. We walked by homeless camps along the weird creek that runs parallel with the trail, graffiti everywhere, and trash that littered every square inch around us. We came across a crazy, schizophrenic person singing and arguing with himself just minutes from the hotel entrance, then we got to the truck stop. I live in Chicago and have also lived in Cincinnati most of my life, this made even me feel uncomfortable. There were cars that had no tires being lived in near the weird truck stop, scary people all around the subway/local restaurant built into the travel center that stared as you walked by. It felt like I was in a post apocalyptic movie.
Let’s just say, we won’t be back again and wish we could have left earlier. We watched as many unsuspecting people like us checked in, then came back to the front desk extreme concerned.

Read moreI checked in on Saturday December 31st, and checked out on January 3rd. However; through my whole stay I never received room service not even once. The first day I noticed I did not receive room service. I immediately called the front desk and asked why did I not get room service. I was told it was upon request which was not informed to me when I checked-in. I then requested for room service for Monday, and again when I arrived to my hotel room "nothing". No clean towels or garbage changed "Nothing". Also, the same Monday the power when out and there was no hot water for hours. I immediately called the front desk and Anais answered. I told her there was no power and she said there was a power outage. I asked isn't there a generator and she said no with an attitude. I then asked her why I was not informed this hotel did not have a generator. Her response was that the owner of the hotel is not obligated to have one. Afters hours being in the dark in a freezing room, because it is snowing outside. When the power finally comes back on, I call back and asked Anais there is still no hot water, she tells me to wait 15 minutes. I waited for hours, because when I called the 15 minutes later. The boiler was having issues. I asked Anais that I would like some compensation for the inconvenience, and she said "NO"; with her disgusting unprofessional behavior. Tuesday when I checked out at 8:15 am to eat breakfast there were no more eggs. I tell Anais that there is no more eggs in the breakfast area, and instead of calling the woman and telling her, she has the audacity to walk over to the breakfast area uncover the lid to see that there were no more eggs, like if I were lying. Then the poor woman was apologizing like she was in fear of Anais. I told her it was no big deal and that I don't understand why Anais would make a federal case over eggs. I can't believe how fearful these employees are to her. Also it very unprofessional to be wearing a spaghetti tank top that barely fits under a blazer that you can see a tattoo on her left side clavicle. Overall it was a horrible experience. The woman watches over for the breakfast area is a sweetheart. Johanna who works for the front desk was very sweet. She was so nice and took the time to write places to go to and restaurants to eat. Johanna is manager material, Anais should be fired!!! Does not know how to problem solve, instead of diffusing the situation, she made it worse in every way possible. I would definitely not recommend this place. The room did not...
