I was in and out here quickly. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I only had one issue... I purchased some ammunition this was located upstairs. I checked the pricing thoroughly... However different from my usual shopping methods I usually have a general idea of what my bill should be with and without tax... This I did not do prior to check out as I was in a rush and they were about to close, I simply just checked the pricing and made a mental note of it and they called the employee over to pull them as they were locked up... I got my items checked out and left... The next day when I went to purchase something else for lunch short on what cash I should have had on hand that's when I started to review the process that took place the previous day... When I pull my receipt I immediately noticed that I was charged more than was marked on the shelves for my items it wasn't much but it was definitely enough to catch me by surprise... It seems with my three items I've been overcharged approximately $10 for my purchased items versus The marked and advertised price... And before you say anything yes I know that ammo has higher taxes than most items I'm well aware however this was not that issue.... I know I was overcharged because I was not charged the listed prices on the shelves.... I had planned to go back however I never made it back and since then I have lost the receipt so I technically have no recourse now. So I'm closing all I can say is that I will be at work next time that I shop there to make sure that there are no mistakes overcharges or under charges from Bass pro shops but it's not just them it's any and all retailers we should be aware of what we're spending and what we're being charged at all times for because let's face it most people don't notice it... The amount of people that actually notice it and return well that's even less because we just don't have the time anymore.... How long would it take me to prove that the price was different and get the refund that was deserved??? Gas, time, aggravation and explanation to store members, the wait time.... Would it have really been worth the $10.... Do the retailers know this, YES!!! DO THE RETAILERS CARE; TO THIS I SAY PROBABLY NOT.... CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS BE MINDFUL OF YOUR PURCHASES AND THE AMOUNT YOU'RE BEING...
Read moreThis was my first time going into the Bass Pro Shop. On Easter !!! I cannot believe this happened to me. This was my first time ever shopping at this location. I am handicap and found the electric cart to get me through out this very big location. lady with rabbit ears guided me over to the shoes on second floor point out where to get the elevator to 2nd floor. I was taking upstairs to a very nice selection of shoes. I found what I was looking for so I was making my way back downstairs to checkout. On my way I found some cargo pants not sure if I would fit into them I normally shop BIG & Tall stores. I was directed over to Crystal she was working the department very good customer service , friendly and very helpful. I was shown to fitted room and even assisted by crystal to see if she felt the pants were a good fit since my wife wasn't with me. Crystal went to lunch so she asked Bea another employee to assist me Bea and I looked through racks to see my size 50x30 we found 2 pairs of pants. I was then given a card incase I wanted to apply for credit card i was then told to tell the person working the register hand them the card and let them know I was talked to about applying for credit card. when I got to register the girl at registered switched the point of sale and credit card from Bea to the the person ringing out my items. I became embarrassed my experience went from Great!!! to not wanting to shop in this store ever again. Courtney was in Customer service came over to me got story what happened went and removed my items that I found out was suspended in the register which I don't know why never discussed with me. I didn't like that being in customer service as a hotel Manager would never allow my employees do this in my hotel. I asked to speak to a Manager on Duty Brent came to talk to me behind the protective barrier installed instead of talking with me outside of it where it was easier to hear me talked to me through the opening in the glass. Everyone wanted to apologize but no one ever asked me what I wanted to...
Read moreStopped by here last night just to avoid sitting in traffic on I-70 for an extra hour. I had no intention of doing anything other than giving the place a walk-through, as I I'd never been there, and then getting back on the road. Turns out I was there much longer than I probably should have been.
It all started with how nice everyone was. I mean: really nice. Just about every retailer out there from Walmart to Home Depot could use some of the training Bass Pro workers apparently get. I'd never been asked if I needed help so much in my life.
I watched the fish swim for a few minutes and then had am employee tell me they had a salt-water tank in the restaurant and since I was just killing time I decided to go ahead and check it out ... and then I was convinced to have a bite to eat. Yes, I'm a sucker.
I sat at the bar and watched the fish swim while I wolfed down my double-cheeseburger and fries then headed back into the store. The food was actually fairly good, especially for the price: $5.99. Not too shabby. In the future I plan to return to the restaurant and try something else.
I walked by the boats, past the fishing gear, through the women's clothing and then back towards the stairs leading up where I found my interests: camping, archery, knives and, of course, guns.
The archery guy was very well informed and even though he was almost as old as Facebook I had to give him my respect for his wealth of knowledge. We ended up talking about a few things, even going outside the realm of archery before I mosied on over to the gun department. Here I also spent far too much time talking to the sales reps but that's only because they didn't have anything I asked about in the store. In fact, I asked about four or five different weapons and each time, "No, we don't have that."
The store itself was very clean and orderly. It was also decorated with many taxidermied animals and while my personal philosophy is not to use the dead as decoration, I understand hunters are not so respectful in their use...
