The location of the building was fairly close to other attractions and places we wanted to go, but finding the hotel parking lot was a bit more complicated than I would have liked since the hotel wasn't right off the main road. The entire hotel, including the rooms and lobby, looked really nice and well put together. There was no fridge or microwave which was a little disappointing, but there was name brand soap, shampoo, and mouthwash, and we noticed they put a different picture next to each room number by the door so that was a cute touch. There was also a booklet in the room that listed information and reviews for nearby attractions as well as hotel information, and stayed that there's a manager on duty 24/7 to talk to if a guest is unhappy with anything. They also claim in the book and at the front desk that if you're dissatisfied with anything, they don't expect you to pay. The bed was terrible, it squeaked when I turned over and I could feel the springs. We tried to deal with it since it was already late and we had to get up early, plus I figured all their beds would be the same anyway. We both managed to doze for an hour or two until our backs started hurting, then we just tossed and turned for a couple more hours. I finally got up and went downstairs to the front desk and asked for the night manager. The employee at the desk said there was no manager until Monday. When I told him the issue he immediately said I should have mentioned it earlier and he doubted the manager would do anything, but he'd leave a note anyway. I sat downstairs in the lobby for a couple hours going that my girlfriend could doze if I weren't tossing and turning, which she said later she sill didn't couldn't get comfortable. We came down for breakfast and the coffee was stale, there was a hair in the waffle, the breakfast lady didn't wear gloves the whole time she was prepping food, including handling the fruit. The eggs didn't taste out have the consistency of eggs at all. Not impressed with breakfast. Street the night shift desk clerk left and I was checking out with the morning shift lady, I asked if the night shift had left a note for the manager like he said he would. She checked and didn't see a note. I explained to her about the bed and sleeping issue. While she was friendly about it, she seconded that management usually doesn't discount for inadequate being. I explained that I never asked for a discount, I would have been receptive to any other solutions, but instead I just got "you should have said something sooner, to bad" with a false promise to even notify management 2 days later, even though they claim to have management 24/7. Overall, this hotel felt like they're all about a pretty appearance but don't actually follow through...
Read moreThe trip started off great but went south. Pros: -The front desk staff were wonderful. They helped us check in early and were very welcoming. -Our room was very clean. -The breakfast was your average hotel breakfast but it was great. Cons: -Housekeeping was supposed to come every other day but never came. We had to take our own trash out everyday and go to the desk for clean towels. The front desk was very apologetic but the housekeeping still never came to clean the room throughout our week stay -The parking lot was full even though I payed $10 a night. I knew from the booking that I would have to pay for parking and was okay with that. The problem is when I come back from my day and there is no packing spots left and many people without their parking tags. I should have a spot if I am paying nightly. If guests are paying this fee, there's should be towed every night to make room. -Maintenance came to our room twice throughout our stay to reset our TV. We never had issues with the TV until they came in. I am not sure exactly what they were reseting it for but I don't understand why it couldn't wait until after we left. The second time maintenance came to our room we had a sleeping tag on the door handle to take a nap. Next thing I know I am woken up by two maintenance men coming into my room. This is a MAJOR issue. I was sleeping, and even if they did knock, the do not disturb sleeping tag was hanging on my door. As a women I see this as a huge safety problem.
I could have dealt with the other issues and not bothered to write a review but after this instance my stay was ruined and I feel scared to go back to a Hilton Inn knowing they allow people to...
Read moreBreakfast was good. Most staffs I met at front desk are friendly and helpful.
If this were all I experienced, I would have given five stars. However, the unfortunate part was that the hotel is not sound proof. You can clearly hear your neighbor's TV, people moving around and water running in the bathroom, which was okay for me.
What really made me to give one star to this review is that after my family went to bed, I received two phone calls from front desk. I was told to change room since people living downstairs was complaining about us walking in the apartment and using water in bathroom. And that was only before 11pm!
Well if you look at previous reviews, people complained about the thin wall which was not sound proof for years. Seems the hotel hasn't solved the issue. So if people are still complaining, then it's the hotel's problem, not mine!
How can they just ask people to switch room like that! Do walking in the room and flushing toilet before 11pm sound like something crazy to you? We were not having a 3am party!
Again, it's their problem not mine. Very disappointed and confused about how they handled things. They should have been more professional and better trained on how to communicate with their guests. I respect the fact that my neighbor downstairs was early birds and I want to be a good citizen. However, they should have figured out a better way to handle this, instead of asking their guests to switch room late at night when they did nothing wrong.
I don't think I will come back and I will also tell my friends and colleagues to avoid this place, unless the hotel significantly improves their management and...
