THEY DNR’d ME BECAUSE I LEFT BAD REVIEWS! THTS RETALIATION AND IM DEFINITELY NOT LETTING IT SLIDE.
Angie was great help when checking in. Great service! **Edit: (see second edit also)I’m changing my review. Angie was great my first stay here! Helped me get a discount & everything so she still gets her 5 stars.
However, my second stay has not been so great & I haven’t evn gotten inside the room yet! The lady at the front is not Angie btw, and she’s clearly not as awesome. I arrived around 11am & asked to check in early & she said I had to wait until 2pm “for cleaning”. I said tht it shouldn’t take 3hrs to clean ONE room & tht I would check back shortly to see if one was ready. She said ok.
Why should I have to wait for every single room to be cleaned before I can check in when I dnt need all of them, I just need one?? How does she know they won’t be done cleaning before 2pm? How does she know tht it will take until exactly 2pm for them to finish cleaning every single room? She doesn’t. She lied, plain & simple, because why couldn’t she just put me in the first available clean room??
I checked back about 12:45pm just to see… she was wiping a window & without evn stopping cleaning the window to check the computer she just said “not yet”.
So I’ve just been sitting here watching housekeeping clean & leave room after room knowing one of them has to be open by now & she’s really gonna make me sit here & wait until 2pm. Super petty.
My point is tht it has absolutely nothing to do with cleaning or I would be in one of those rooms tht I watched them clean & walk out of already. It’s a money factor. No way I’ll get extra hrs in a room is wht tht is! She could have evn said “policy states tht the earliest check in is 2pm, etc., etc.” & I might’ve went for it. She could’ve charged me extra for the extra hrs and I might’ve went for it! This - I’m not going for.
They just be telling people anything & think it’ll fly. No sir, no ma’am, no ham, no turkey!! Not on this review suga pie hunny bunch! Before stepping foot in a room this has already been a terrible experience and it’s definitely because of the poor customer service at the front desk.
Interesting how I check back at 1:50pm, not quite yet 2pm as she insisted upon, and a different lady was able to let me in a room, no problem. What?!?! You mean EVERY ROOM is clean 10mins early?? I’ll be damned!! A miracle! Smdh….
Oh & unless it went in her pocket, the price magically goes up $20 on the weekends… the website fails to mention tht. SURPRISE!!
0/10 would not recommend. Especially if Angie isn’t at the front.
**Secind Edit: I gave them a chance to redeem themselves. They did ok the last time I checked in but just to see if they would continue the “decent but not great service” I gave them another try. I made my reservation after 1pm. Came in to see about an early check in and they said I have to wait till 3 there’s no rooms available. I stayed inside and watched them check the next guest into a room and gave him a key. But I have to wait till 3. I’m calling corporate this time.
I think they weren’t expecting me to stay and watch but shortly after posting this edit they checked me in. Go figure lol! Only to put me in a room damaged by someone’s pet. So I made sure the assistant manager was aware and she very kindly switched my room. There’s still some damages but it’s not as bad. At least they tried I guess… I’ll hold off on my call...
Read moreI have stayed in over a hundred Motel 6’s throughout my life and have never had a bad experience until this time which was absolutely horrendous. The front desk staff (both ladies) had a terrible attitude (with other guests and myself). I booked my room for one night 2 weeks in advance for a queen non-smoking room. When I got there to check in, the girl helping me at the front desk said all they had were smoking rooms with a queen bed or non-smoking with 2 double beds. I had proof of my reservation with me. What is the point of reserving a room in advance if the room is not going to be held for you?? Listening to other guests checking in at the same time, it was the same story being told to everyone. Then the front desk girl tried to tell me that I was going to have to pay $7 EXTRA for the DOWNGRADED bed size. I refused this and actually inquired about getting a partial refund for what I paid since the room was downgraded from what I reserved. At this point she was extremely rude and just checked me in without saying anything about what room she was checking me in to. I got up to the room and it was in fact a double bed room. I went back down to again request a partial refund since this is not what I reserved. At this time the other girl, with many other guests in the check-in area, YELLED that I could take the room I was given or get a refund and leave. I requested to speak to management but it was too late at night (~9pm) so they were not around. Given the belligerence of the front desk staff, I left and went back to the room to speak with my boyfriend. He then went back downstairs to the desk where the girls were again extremely rude. He requested that we receive the refund for the room, at which time they told him that wasn’t an option anymore and then the staff member WALKED OFF as he was trying to speak with her. My boyfriend used to work in hotels (as front desk staff and then as a sales manager) and this is the most obscene behavior either of us have ever witnessed. I attempted to find a phone number online to speak with someone (customer service, etc) and it was after hours so I was unable to do so. I left an online message and asked someone to please call me (or at least email me) to further discuss this experience and have still not heard from anyone. Again, I have stayed at tons of Motel 6’s and have never had a problem before now. I again would appreciate someone reaching out to me to discuss this experience and I highly recommend finding new front desk staff at this location specifically. They have no business working in customer service with the attitudes they showed that night. Other than this, minus the bed size, the room itself was as expected for a Motel 6 (which is fine for me). Cleanliness was fine. The area itself is definitely sketchy and there were quite a lot of people just hanging around outside into the night, but this was not what I had...
Read moreBeware!!!! Horrible experience!!!! My family arrived at 10 pm on 8/21/17 after watching the eclipse in Wyoming. We were all very tired and had a 0650 AM flight to catch. The check in staff were pleasant but distracted by each other and were slow to attend to guests checking in. I immediately went to my room and opened the door and was struck by a powerfully offensive odor coming from the room. It smelled like smoke but something else was present, most likely a mixture of pot and hash or God knows what. I immediately went back to the office and reported the problem. I was told there were no other rooms to switch me to and that they were out of the deodorizer that they use. She apologized and said she could check with security to see if they could find something in the storage area. I went back to the room and opened the window (there was a jagged piece of paint blotched corroded metal in the jamb holding the window closed). I went back downstairs to my car to get my luggage as I had no choice but to stay in the room. At least it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Downstairs you could smell the foul odor wafting from the room. I spoke to another guest from a nearby room and he said his room had the same problem and that security had come by and sprayed a chemical in the room that was chlorine based and that burned is eyes. He went to the office and requested a fan that he was using to ventilate his room. I notice a sign on the exterior wall that stated that smoking of marijuana is prohibited. Security came to my room and I had to move all of my belonging to the landing outside the room which was stained and dirty. He sprayed the room with an unknown chemical that smelled of chlorine. He told me to not enter for a minute. I waited 5 minutes and went in to check and my eyes started burning. There were puddles of chlorine liquid on the floor that I mopped up with the bath mat and moved outside. I procured a fan that was never offered. I set it up to blow air first into the bathroom area and then to main doorway. This is late at night with the rest of the motel guests trying to sleep. Finally after 20 minutes of this nonsense I could finally enter the room without my eyes burning. At midnight we finally shut down the fan and sealed up the room and went to bed totally exhausted. The room now had a combination of bleach, smoke and pot smell. One of the staff admitted that a lot of their rooms have odor problems. Maid...
