Budgetel inn & suites Dillard — Hotel in Dillard

Hi, to begin my sad tell, I arrived with guaranteed reservations about 9 PM. Drove past motel twice lucky third time. The sign is extremely small and unlit for a motel! When you're alone it's extremely difficult to find even with.Google Maps. I was given rm 209 at first, but attempting to open door with the key didn't work. Had to go back down to desk and let gentleman remake the key. Got door open and unloaded car. I an old lady at 77, I don't like to sleep in a motel bed with the bedspread. I always remove it. Well when I removed the spread, I saw bugs I MEAN BUGS!!! So called desk and was moved to rm 204. Got settled in around 11 pm attempting turn the heat on was a futile attempt. Call desk. Gentleman can up and fiddled with the heater to no avail. About 1 A M now, moved to rm 217 his very special room. "I will like". Two rms. First with bathroom, dining table large TV that faces no where to sit, but nice couch on right side wall. Thank goodness I don't watch TV. Next rm large dresser and a KING SIZE BED! Hallelujah this old lady is tired! The only thing that is perfect about the rms is the view. After Googling bed bugs, the bugs in rm 209 looked just like picture, but since that's not my specialty I can...

This is an update, as I stayed again for Memorial weekend. This hotel is my favorite place to go. I went 23 yrs ago, and remembered it being wonderful when I was going to the area again last Fall. I was not disappointed! So I booked another vacation there for Memorial weekend. I am going again this Fall and will try to stay a little extra time, I hated to leave! Has WiFi, refrigerator, coffeemaker, microwave, This modest motel is maintained well, clean, large rooms, beautiful views, comfortable beds,friendly staff, lots of hiking to do nearby...and they welcome my dog! I highly recommend.

To say the very least, I'm VERY disappointed. The suite we are in is absolutely disgusting, checked in at 1 o'clock today, the first man I spoke to that checked me in was friendly. Came in my room and dropped our things off, and left and went about our day. Didn't arrive back to the hotel until late in the evening around 12 pm. Came in and wanted to get straight to bed, but as soon as we pulled the sheets back noticed both beds were absolutely disgusting and not clean, called the front desk, and requested new ones to which they declined at first, until my husband flipped about it. Told us we could could in dirty sheets for the night. The room upon further inspection is absolutely filthy. Bathroom is disgusting, did not provide us with towels (did call about that earlier and he did bring some) there was no trash bags in the bins when we first got here. Went to shower, and the shower is filty with someone else's used soap. Very disappointed, and will be reporting to the BBB.
