An Amazing Stay in Miami! 🌴🏨✨

Clean Spacious unit. Carpet was a little dated. Fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cutlery, blender, toaster, place settings for 8, coffee maker. Kitchen stocked with sponge, dish soap, dishwasher soap. All appliances worked well. Fridge was cold and stove was very hot. When you enter laundry is immediately there and you enter the kitchen. 2nd bedroom is on the side - queen bed and pull out. Then dining room with large round table, washroom is off dining room with a door to the 2nd bedroom. Washrooms are stocked with soap, shower cap, sewing kit. Shower has pump containers with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Towels are nice and thick. Good quality tissues and toilet paper. 50" tvs in bedrooms and living room. Good assortment of channels, including access to Netflix, Amazon, YouTube. All back of units face the lake. master BR has king with 4 pillows - 2 firm, 2 soft. Mattress was comfortable. Blackout curtains worked well - didn't need my sleeping mask. Sheets are good quality. 2 person tub, but no jets. Safe in closet. Shower is large 6'x3'. Water pressure is good and adjustable shower head. Living room has a sofa and chair. Grounds are well maintained. Lots of luggage carts and buggies. Free shuttle to Trump Doral and Publix grocery store. Nice big pool area with lots of chairs and loungers. Bar and grill by pool. Good mix of shade and sun. Good size gym that is well maintained and frequently cleaned. on Wednesdays, they have a free animal show. Local conservation area brings in several animals - gator, ant eater, owl, scorpion, fox to name a few. Quality Marriott property. Property is close to a lot of good restaurants. Neighborhood is very nice and safe. With close proximity to the airport, every 2-15 minutes a flight goes by. Somewhat loud by the pool but can't hear in the units. Wi-Fi is strong. No issues connecting for work or streaming on the computer. All staff were great and friendly.

Beautiful place. Amenities are great, even with covid restrictions BUT, the issue is with the lobby staff. Daughter reserved two nights ($236 per night) Thursday and Friday. Asked to extend her stay for another night so as she loved the villa. Initially was told to book the next night online and Nicole would enter it so that she could keep the same room. Which happened smoothly and only required $50 incidentals deposit. Saturday night after returning late from bowling, my daughter contacted Nicole again and requested another night which she again booked online again. She was told to go to the lobby Sunday morning and pay another $50 incidental deposit and get the new keys. After arriving in the morning, Michael indicated there was no reservation and that Nicole was mistaken. She showed him the reservation confirmation and was told that instead of $236 which had already been paid, the amount of $319 was required, with another $50 deposit. She was told that because a debit card was used (there was no problem the previous 3 nights) that the room was a different rate and a different deposit amount was required. But the room had already been paid for. Michael pretended to contact a supervisor but eventually indicated that unless the $319 plus $50 was paid also, that she had to check out. Meaning one night would be $655!! If that isn't a scam! So after checking out this morning, she went back at 630pm and told that she did have an active reservation but she needed to pay $50. When she tried to pay, the rep tried to charge $369. This is for a room that she paid $236 a night for three times. She left and canceled the reservation. She was called at 8pm by the hotel and asked when she would be checking in for her reservation for tonight. She told them she would NOT be coming back, she would contact the bank, and she would be contacting corporate about the slimy business practices of the hotel. Be careful changing your reservation here.

We have owned a timeshare for 25 years as a family. We have travelled all over the world with Marriott. With that said, this was the worst location our family has visited and stayed at. Uber drove me to the Villa in anticipation of family meeting me there. The security gate was vacant and it was a drive in as you please fiasco. Construction in building 4. Construction to the immediate outside of building and street. One way street due to. Upon arrival inside the villa I noticed none of the landline phones worked. There were hairs all over the tile in bathroom and in shower. The toilet seat was stained. The glass window to porch was stained. The bedroom wood table was gashed. I pointed all this out to the Head Housekeeper. He seemed concerned and agreed with my finding and concern. The Engineer showed up to fix my phones but yet told me the phone issue have been going on for almost 4 years since he has been employed. The carpets were soiled and it smelled like wd40 in the kitchen. The next day I was moved. The Manager seemed customer oriented and gave us a $100 credit to use at the property. That was generous! The second room was not much better. Still phone issues. Engineering was onsite with the new contracted company for wiring. They stopped by three times to check my villa phones. That was very annoying. The tile in kitchen was dirty. The deck rails were in desperate need of paint. The furniture in both units outdated. The bar area was not inviting to say the least. It resembled a gas station window to pick up wings. The bathroom had mold in the shower. The tile in kitchen was poorly constructed. The spare bedroom tv appeared to have DNA on it. And did not work, batteries dead. The tv stand scratched the bloody murder out of the dresser it sat upon. The main room kitchen table was stained from prior guest and not cleaned. The tv folio to check room charges did not work even upon checkout. Dried blood stains upon my parents room sheets. The porch floor needed painting along with railings. The Manager was very customer concerned but unfortunately she had her hands tied it would appear due to Marriott financials for the property and the employees for the most part were very accommodating. But unfortunately this location in Doral is the bottom of the bucket for us. Very sad to see this and live 7 days with all these concerns. I have pictures to validate all the points I mentioned above. I would hope someone from Marriott reads this and takes action. The pictures taken of the property on this application are very far from accurate. My pictures are however accurate! Very displeased. Stephen V Date of stay May...

The warm welcome started with the security team at the entry barrier and extended to the excellent reception team which were some of the best we encountered in all of Florida. Desi checked us in and unfortunately a room wasn’t ready (despite being after 4pm) but he worked to get one ready for us as soon as he could and in the meantime told us all about what was available at the resort and made it clear if they could do anything to help us we need only ask. We saw Desi a few times over our stay and he remembered us and always checked to see how things were and that we were having a good time. ||The rooms are lovely 2 bedroom villas with fully functional and equipped kitchens and all utensils. There was also an almost king sized sofa bed in the living room so it can easily sleep 6. My wife and I loved the very comfortable super king bed in the master suite and the large bathroom area. Having a washing machine and dryer in the room was great too as this was the end of our holiday it was very handy to get a head start on our laundry with the reception team giving us extra washing products that we needed and so we actually managed to go home with 100% clean laundry. We didn’t encounter any issues with the room. They are obviously well used but it was clean, well equipped and felt like a home away from home. ||The added bonus here was the entertainment team who added an extra sparkle to our stay with group games for prizes put on every day. Free icecreams for the kids and alcohol drinks for the adults. Each one of them were brilliant but a special mention to Heidi who was especially fun, engaging, helpful and went out her way to help us get the most of our stay. She will know Lewis especially really enjoyed his fishing in the lagoon thanks to her! The pool area is great too but only half of the jets are working in the hot tub at the moment. ||We were worried that the location would be too far from everything but it was perfect because we had a car and downtown and the South Beach area was within 40mins drive. The massive local shopping mall with restaurants within 15mins and then when it was time to fly back home we were at the airport within 20mins. On that the resort is on one of the approach paths to the runway but the rooms are soundproofed and when the patio door was closed we didn’t hear the plane noise at all. I personally however did enjoy watching the planes coming in to land from my balcony. ||So thank you for the wonderful stay and fantastic end to an amazing...
