Budget Inn Motel — Hotel in Du Quoin

I've stayed in $20 per night hotels, and this is equivalent! Bugs such as spiders, roaches, etc.! I didn't even choose to stay here, but when I had booked on Priceline, and tried to get a refund and find a different hotel, the non-English speaking Indian guy gestured that he would not refund my money out of policy. I guess that's how this dump continues to exist by getting "suckers" like me to buy into a discount via Priceline. I now no longer work with Priceline or book in advance. Horrible place. We booked on Travelocity and when paid up front on check in. It was disgusting. There were roaches, the walls and floor were grimey, the paint was peeling, and there was an aweful smell. We went straight back up front and asked for a refund. There is no way I was letting my family sleep there. The manager was very rude and only gave me 1/2 of my money back and Travelocity wouldn't refund either. I guess it was $42. lesson learned. I stayed here for 6 months or so when I was in Du Quoin back in 2019-2020. Because I paid on a monthly basis, I got a discount. It was myself and 2 teenage boys.
