Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Du Quoin

I ordered a blizzard ice cream cake for my daughters birthday. I spoke to the manager on the phone to place my order. Two days later, we went to pick up the cake we ordered and they had not even made it. Luckily, they had a Oreo blizzard cake in the freezer. When I ordered the cake, the manager asked me if I wanted anything wrote on it. I said yes. I told them "Happy 17th birthday Bryn" after they took it to the back to write on it, they brought it out and it said "Happy 18TH BIRLDAY Bryn" They put the wrong number and spelled birthday wrong. After we told them it was wrong, they took it back and brought it back out. They had smeared the "8" off with their finger and put a "7" in place of it. They used a different color to cross the "L" they put in BIRLDAY to make it a "T" so then it said "BirTday". They still didn't spell it right. The writing on the cake literally looked like a kid did it at home. It was horrible. I've never had such a bad experience when ordering a birthday cake before in my life than this. I wont ever order a cake from the Du Quoin IL Dairy...

Horrible experiences here. The lady that runs the place is loud mouthed and rude. She is always yelling at her staff! Once I was on a lunch date with my 5 year old son and ordered a brownie a la mode. The girl who rang me up accidentally punched in a normal brownie a la mode, but gave me a deluxe. I paid for the normal one, was given the deluxe, and an all out screaming feud started. She was disrespecting her employee who made a simple mistake, and then HAD THE AUDACITY to order her to come to my table where I'm trying to eat and have her ask me to pay for the difference. The girl was in tears asking me for ninety something cents. I was in shock. Everyone around was in shock. When a mistake is made by a business, the business should eat that cost NO MATTER WHAT. It's common customer service and courtesy. This franchisee is cheap, mean, and does not deserve to serve Dairy Queen or my amazing community. I have not went back...

I've never had a issue before but this is just sloppy. First I went through the drive through and I had to repeat my order 3 times bacause she didn't hear anything I said the first 2 times. I was talking slow and clearly I don't know if it was the speaker or their microphone. I was not hateful or a typical Karen. I got my order and my cherry slush wasn't mixed correctly, also my chocolate shake was just ice cream with chocolate syrup on the bottom. My burger I ordered has 2 giant onions on it that are bigger than the burger itself. Just looks very sloppy. The french fries taste old like they have been sitting out all day. I know that things have been really crazy and hectic with everything going on in the world but there has to be some quality...
