I've eaten here many times over the years and have never had a problem until the last 2 times I've went here. The first bad experience I ordered 2 margaritas (blended) they were barely frozen. Watery. I got over it. The waiter was nice and gave me the drinks for free (didn't really matter though because they were watery and not right) but i let it go and gave them another chance because the waiter was nice. The second bad experience included yet again, watery drinks that weren't even frozen when they made it to the table. Ordered cheese dip. COLD AND WATERY there were curds of unmelted cheese in it and when I asked about it they threw it in the microwave and brought the same bowl of cheese back out. When I talked to the manager she proceeded to be very rude to me and told me I always complain. When I've literally complained one time out of all the years of giving them my business and never having a problem. I hate to shame a local business like this but you're supposed to take care of you're customers. Especially locals who spend money...
Read moreCrooks and Bad Service! Asked for water w/lemon...only received water. Ordered a lunch entree w/refried beans, cheese and tomato, guac etc. I also ordered a SIDE OF CHEESE FOR 1.50 ON MY ENTREE, I didn't receive the r. beans or the cheese. My husband ran the waitress down (who btw waited on 2 tables that came AFTER us, BEFORE us...) for the cheese. We get our bill ($2.95 for a pop FYI) and the waitress charged us $3.99 for the side of cheese! My husband asked the cashier over and over about it - finally GOT ONE IF THEIR MENUS, and the CROOKS said "we don't ever charge that ($1.50 PRINTED in the menu) we always charge $3.99." WHAT THE... That means these CROOKS can charge WHATEVER they want for nasty, sub-par "Mexican" food. I hope an Attorney eats here, asks for the PRINTED IN MENU side, then gets charged MORE THAN DOUBLE! Then we will see if their B.S. holds up! Hello, this is the good ol' USA, and what is PRINTED in THEIR MENU should stand! What...
Read moreI have been going to Dons since I was 7 years old. For the most part I have generally good food. This last time, that my wife and I went there, not good. The food tasted like it had been sitting which is weird because we just ordered it. Chimichangas were not like they typically are, they weren't even fried. The service was okay but it was overshadowed by the cold temperature of the food. The owner was not in the building when we were served our food, I believe he had ran to the bank maybe.
Usually when he is around, service is great and the food is hot, I do not know why this instance was different. I do see other reviews that people have been complaining about your food, I know that covid changed the restaurant industry. It changed every industry, but if I am going to pay more money each time I go for the same food I would at least like it to be hot. I do not know if I will go back to Don's again, if I do go I hope it's not like...
