SouthTowne Shopping Center — Local services in Du Quoin

Most of the stores ended up closing year after year, not due to covid, I'm talking about year after year starting from the time my daughter was born, when they put the original Walmart in, it moved to a new building across from southtowne, new stored were opened in the same old buildings, and btw, my stepdad and another construction company were some of the construction companies who built on this place, and by the design submitted to them, even the heating and air isn't right, you'll freeze it melt depending on the season, from a store, then go to a different store and where the trunk lines were run and how they were stretched out to the max. Renting a building there is expensive and especially since the time was up for that area to charge you taxes, so now it's a high tax on anything you buy from the stores, eat at any of the restaurants, at the newest grocery store, somewhere around 91/2 cent's added to your Bill. So they say that this is business and your lucky to have them?? Right. So that's why we'll just go to the nearest shopping area using the backroads, faster, cheaper, and saved...

They have a decent shoe store Save a lot Subway sadly I have stopped buying from Subway now being they no longer make my sub sandwich which aggregates me I have spent lots of money over the years at subway on that sub sandwich alone! You can go to a Mexican restaurant at the shopping center as well but I prefer a real Mexican restaurant over Tequilas any day not authentic at all. This shopping center is pretty nice. It has a grocery store, a shoe store, Cato, I believe a Mexican restaurant, a place to get a loan, Subway, a Dollar tree, Taco Bell, and a Chinese restaurant.
