I pre-ordered an order for pick up at this location. Everything went well. My order was ready at the time of pick up. HOWEVER: I also came in person to shop for a new monitor for my office. I own a vet clinic on the south side of Atlanta and needed a new computer for one of our nurse stations. Didn't need anything fancy - just reliable and efficient. I was blown away to find a Dell Inspiron 27" normally priced at $1259 was in the open box section for only $419. It said condition fair. I waited over 15 mins for an associate after a 3rd party rep in a red shirt alerted that a customer needed help in the computer department. When I asked what did "Fair condition" mean, the actual best buy employee informed me that it was simply open box without a box and missing the power cable , but the all in 1 monitor/computer, keyboard, and mouse were included. I took the deal. It was reported to be in working function.
When we went to the counter to check out, the digital price label/attachment was on the screen in the top right corner. When the BB sales associate attempted to take it off, the screen popped out of place, but she was able to press it in. She asked her coworker for assistance. Both of them asked "who would stick this ON the screen". They ended up getting it off and the screen appeared fine. I cannot remember her name but the associate checking us out was very kind and showed me the proper cable and wattage to order online and I was on my way.
I ordered the appropriate able on Amazon with 130W power. When I plugged it in today, it was to my dismay that the screen was actually cracked and broken centered from the top right corner. Imagine when a ball or something hits a TV screen in videos online...it was from the exact spot where the digital price tag was applied and pulled off. There were several streaks going down the screen. Granted, I cannot say the monitor EVER worked but according to the store it did and it coincidentally was affected right where the ID was...
I took it back to the best buy closest to my clinic in Peachtree city. Everyone here was helpful but since it was open box, they could only accomodate what they too had open box or apply the amount to another purchase. I ended up getting a new HP all in one that only has a fraction of the specs. Again, the premise of getting the Inspiron was it was a great deal. The experience that I had at this location was so bad I have completely lost hope and would never do business with Best Buy as a whole anymore in the future!!! I purchased a MacBook Pro Online for store pick up valued at $3500. When I went to pick it up, I was notified when I got to the counter that someone had already picked it up!!! The interaction I got from the Staff seemed off during the initial interaction. As employees came by to look at my order, shaking their heads, laughing as if they knew what happened! After 20 minutes of waiting the employee at the front counter, told me the manager would be in contact as they would need to do an investigation. Note the manager at no point came by to relay this information until I asked for a manager. Then the manager (Andrew Smith) Proceeded to give me the same response very nonchalantly relaying that they would need to conduct an investigation. I had to call Gwinnett police to come up there to press the issue and to look at footage that clearly show someone other than me picking up my laptop with nothing but a barcode and no ID check!!! When asked if they check ID, The staff said they only check ID with certain items, and only if the system prompts them. I donât know about you, but I would think a $3500 laptop would definitely be on the list of a prompt and initiated ID check! But nope, No helpâŠ. This clearly has inside job written all over it, and I wouldnât be surprised if the manager was in on it as wellâŠ.. two days after I was told, I would be called back by the manager. I was sent a text the day after to be called the next day, and the call wasnât even made until I called just for them to tell me that they would be unable to replace my laptop and that I would need to report a theft from something that they let get stolen. I wish I wouldâve seen reviews on this location prior to making the purchase as I wouldâve Better care of making this purchase. Now Iâm out of a $3500 laptop, and in the process of taking legal action against this store and this business! Word of advice: buyer beware when buying something of value from this or any Best Buy location online take heedâŠ.. People are not trustworthy, and their checkout process is to lacks for criminals to take...
   Read more1/26/22: I ordered a TV, my delivery appointment is today 2-6pm, they show up at 1pm instead, no phone call or anything to confirm the earlier delivery. I called the Geek Squad number at 1:15pm on the delivery confirmation sheet to see if I can get the driver to turn around, I talked to April, she placed me on hold and after 25 min she disconnected the call, I called back and spoke to Sheila and 25min on hold, disconnects again. This is 2:10pm now, Iâve been trying to get this delivery guy for 55min now. I call a third time, spoke to Michelle, explained to her that her team keeps hanging up on me. She finally told me their delivery is from a third party and that theyâll redeliver by end of day. As to why the delivery driver didnât make contact with me first, she doesnât know why. Whoever Best Buy is contracting out to make their deliveries is terrible. Now I have to wait till 9pm at home to see âifâ they redeliver my TV. Total waste of my day. Update: turns out theyâre not coming back, they lied to me about returning back to my house to get me to stop calling, I just called to find out where the driver is and they said I have to reschedule another day. I took the day off and wasted PTO to sit at home waiting for a TV that was told would be delivered today and now I have to use another PTO. Worst shippers ever.
2018: This location has a really dumb manager/supervisor named DC. He wouldn't price my Amazon price because it says Prime next to the ship and sold by Amazon. Prime is a shipping membership, for two day shipping, I didn't get a discount for having that membership. I even pulled the price on Chrome without logging into my Amazon account and the price is the same. For a retailer to advertise they price match Amazon, their managers sure don't know the policies. Thankfully Gabriela was a smart customer service rep and found a similar price elsewhere for me to price match. She went above and beyond to helped me greatly.
