Kabob-ish — Restaurant in Duluth

This is the third time I wasn't happy, I really like this food and this place but I'm extremely embarrassed to suggest or bring people here because of the lack of consistency. The first few times I ordered I got pretty consistent and delicious food but it's since gotten worse. You cannot make a phone order because they won't listen, you literally have to be there to make sure they actually cook your food! I made a phone order that the person completely ignored what I said. I corrected him several times because I heard him say the incorrect orders, after correcting several times, he insisted he heard me and put in the order. When I arrived, the two dishes were completely different from what I asked and I mentioned it. They young guy said that's what I asked for on the phone, and I recognized his voice and realized he took the order. I asked him if he remembered me correcting the orders several times because I specifically told him the name of the dish and he said something completely different, and he assured me he remembered but once IN PERSON to pick up the meals he told me they were out of what I wanted! I asked for a manager to try to rectify the issue then he informed me that HE WAS THE MANAGER! Given he offered me 50% discount for both of the meals, I wasn't happy because I still paid for food I didn't want and wasted my time and energy and gas. The most recent time I ordered over the phone was last night and ordered two beef shish plates and a jerk chicken plate. As I said before, I like the place and the food is good when they actually care. I arrived at the estimated time of completion, checked to make sure the orders were correct and went on my way, bringing the meals home to my family who live just a couple minutes away. When I got home we immediately opened the boxes, hungry, and the two beef shish smelled off. The beef shish looked as though it was never cooked over the grill as it had in the past. It had a soggy look to it like it was boiled in water and it was really flaky, I asked for medium it looked like it was super well-done.We tried to eat it but it just smelled of rancid meat and we simply couldn't stomach it. It smelled like old meat that was microwaved; luckily our dogs got to enjoy it so it wasn't a complete waste. I'm now committed to eating at any other place but this establishment. I've tried time and again to give it another chance and I'm always disappointed by my choice to do so. They simply don't care about the food they're feeding to people anymore. I...

Terrible people. Watched cooks argue with no less than 6 door dashers. I am homeless.. I went in and asked for a drink. One of the cooks, the main one, stated he didn't have time, ok understandable, time for what? You don't have to make the drinks here, just hand me a cup. Hmmm, he then ignores me, I think he thinks that I asked for food, I restate that I'm homeless and have no money, may I please have a drink?.. ignored again... Excuse me sir may I please have a drink, replies as if not English speaking, I don't have time.. I say time for what? Can I have a drink I don't even need your cup I have a bottle, he ignores me.. again.. I walk out and as I'm walking the other customers are incredulous as to what they just witnessed and shake their heads.. I put my head down further and continue my walk of a depressed nearly suicidal homeless man... I go to the spa down a few doors.... Omg amazing people, they blessed me with some money to eat and drink.. thank you,,, so I return to the cook, I'm thirsty as all get out or I would have walked somewhere else. I go to the register and the obstinate cook hands me a cup.. oh now that I have money in my hand all the sudden you have the 1 second It takes to make me a drink. His definition of making a drink is handing someone a cup.... I'm grateful, he doesn't charge me... Well dude you could of done that a few minutes ago..when I was desperate and had no money, I was sooo thirsty.. this is the problem with society in general.. this situation is a microcosm of what is taking place in our society.. terrible mean people making poor decisions that affect often less than well to do peoples lives and health, he had no concern for me whatsoever, when I returned he was trying to save his hide, he did. But does that make it ok to do what he did in the first place?.. don't go here, you won't...

We had called to place an order for Togo but be decided to eat a little bit and then take the remaining for Togo. They are suppose to close at 10.00 pm and we were almost done the so called manager who is rude told us we cannot eat no more and have to leave. I have never had this situation where anyone in any restaurant have told us that we have to stop eating and leave the premises. Very Very bad customer service I will say. I have been the customer for a long time and never had the situation but this guy who was called manager by one their employees is not fit to be a manager. Just because he wanted to leave early he made his customer leave half food and told them to leave. Believe me guys be careful if you sitting late and if you are be ready to get insulted by this so called shabby looking manager who did not seem to look like a manager he argued with us saying we cannot eat the remaining food. No matter food is good but customer service is zero a big zero

I also wanted to add I was reading earlier posts and reviews from other customers and whoever had given them 1 star have customer service complain specially concerning rude behavior of that so called manager who is tall white guy. Guys be aware of him he is very very rude do not have conversation with him he will insult you and argue with you. I would want the owners to look into this matter and let him go. This so called manager is not fit to even clean their toilets coz I know he will leave it dirty like he is and just take owners money and not work. I do not put reviews and do not wright such long and bad about anyone but this guy made me do it. Guys be aware of this guy very rude and argues with you and don't listen. No use of keeping such staff who tells you upfront that go ahead and put a review he don't...
