As someone who always seeks out the best of the best, discovering this little motel was a pleasant surprise. From the moment I stepped into the room, I knew I was in for a special stay. The bed was new and incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. What truly impressed me was the cleanliness of the room, from the ceiling down to the floor. The bathroom was a welcome oasis after a long, hot day. I appreciated the all-American charm of the place, and it was clear that the owner takes great pride in catering to Michigan residents. His genuine care for his guests and the community shines through in every aspect of the motel. During my stay, I noticed the owner's dedication to maintaining a problem-free environment. The rooms were meticulously cleaned, and I felt right at home with no issues whatsoever. Overall, I can't recommend this high-end motel enough. Whether you're on a family vacation or simply passing through, rest wood is a top-notch choice for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

We stayed the weekend here. Rich, the owner, was very nice and shared a few funny jokes with us. The rooms were very clean and it was very quiet. A great quiet relaxing place to stay for sure. Very close to a lot of things to do. There's a Mexican restaurant right next door and a market that has some good precooked meats and meats ready to grill as well as liquor and quick to eat foods right next door. There's also a very nice miniature golf course by the motel.

Rich the Manager/Owner is onsite and responsive to requests. Even though a bit short staffed, there was no shortage of great service received. The rooms are modernized and well maintained. The His&Her shower is a great bonus to these rooms. Can walk to beach, local attraction (Pirate Cove) and Mexican restaurant in minutes. Shuttle stop is steps from motel, and Free during the Cherry Festival.

We visited this motel on a weekend getaway to traverse. We did not have reservations and he was able to fit us in last minute. We appreciated his friendliness. But for the size and quality of the room the price was ridiculously expensive. And he did not honor the military discount that is usually accepted across the USA for people who have served. Once we got into the motel room everything appeared fine. There was a bed, heater, and TV. There was no fridge or microwave at all had we wanted to warm up food or refrigerate anything. The shower took 5 minutes to warm up. Once we were finally able to fall asleep we were woken up several times by bugs biting us. The next morning(today) we woke up with several inflamed bed bug bites. My husband has several all over his body. They did not get me as bad. But we are very disappointed in our stay here and would not recommend. We hope that this problem can be resolved so that future guests do not have to deal with bed bugs. Would add pictures of the red and inflamed bites that have caused us to go to the hospital but am unable to attach. DO...

This place is absolutely disgusting. Filthy rooms. We found pretzels and a Q-tip in our unchanged sheets. The base boards and toilet were also quite gross. If we hadn't have got there so late, we would have immediately asked for a refund and went elsewhere. Luckily, we had our own blankets with us and used those. The next day as we left the room to return the key, the "housekeeper" said she needed to go in to get the linens. As we were leaving we saw her carry out one towel. Upon returning the key, I brought the pretzel peices, Q-tip, and toothpicks (found on floor) to the front desk. The guy behind the desk, just said, "Oh, that's weird" and told me if we came back he would "hook it up," No thank you. Do not go here. It also smelled quite bad in our...
