In between a 20 hour drive, we checked into this place around 5pm. We left the hotel after a few hours due to a cockroach infestation, among MANY other things. ||||I highly encourage that Hopper stop recommending this hotel at once. We would rather drive straight through to Florida from Chicago than stay in that place one more minute. Upon walking into the room, the sheets were stained and the smell was unappealing. However, we understand that you get what you pay for and we brought our own pillows and blankets just in case. We were still willing to rest there before the next long drive. However, it got much worse. It was similar to a crack house with people walking around making gestures at you with their pants down and underwear showing. Felt completely unsafe the whole time, making it difficult to sleep, due to nervously anticipating any one of the strange characters that hang out right by our door and car breaking into our room. ||||After trying and failing to sleep for a few hours, I got up to use the bathroom and when I turned the light on I saw several roaches scurry up the walls and behind the light fixtures. Totally freaked out I thought it was a fluke, until a few minutes later there were 4 more scurrying across the floor. The infestation is massive, big and small. They live in all the holes and cracks of the walls. Even now an hour later, I can’t shake the chilling feeling that there is a GOOD chance there may be roaches in our suitcase. I thought Motels that bad were only seen in movies! Under their policies they claim that they are in compliance with the health codes: that could not be further from the truth, I don’t know how they are even able to allow people to stay there. ||Set it on fire and plant a...
Read moreAvoid this place at all cost. The pictures you see are not accurate. The place is infested with bed bugs. They do not clean the rooms in between visits. I notified them that I found a bed bug and they tried to put me into another room that also had bed bugs. When I requested a refund at 3 in the morning she asked me what did I use in the room. I told her only one towel why do you ask? Because I'm going to run out that man right there. She was not even going to clean the room first in a day of a nationwide pandemic. So I went back and further inspect the room. The bathtub had hair in it pubic hair there was a you so bar in the bathtub refrigerator was still stock with Refreshments from the last party. Call my room on three separate occasions saying that someone was complaining about new noise coming from my room. It was not my room I was there with my nine-year-old son. He developed a rash shortly thereafter you went straight across the street to the Waffle House and change her clothes in the bathroom you back everything up to ensure we weren't carrying any bed bugs with us. I called the police and made a report and their statement was this is a known problem and the hotel is well known for it. I called the corporate office and they were aware of the problem also and we're unwilling to address the issue. They refused to provide me the name and contact information for the owner I have since contacted the CDC and filed a complaint with them. Do not go here. To make matters worse they refused to issue my refund when I started recording them. I have video of the entire reaction but this page is not allow...
Read moreThe girl at the front desk was rude and unprofessional. She made it abundantly clear that she was annoyed at being interrupted from her cell phone. After 3 trips back to get a key card that actually worked...The bed was unmade with the dirty sheets left over from the previous guests. There was trash in the trash cans and trash on the floors. Actual urine on the wall in the bedroom. Blood stains, hair, cigarette burns and mystery stains on the sheets. The toilet was clogged. The shower did not work (handles were broken clean off). We were told that our late checkout at 12pm was okay and then they just WALKED INTO our room at 10:40am which absolutely horrified and embarassed my wife. (we were undressed).||||I know this sounds too horrible to possibly be true. Unfortunately, it is...and I submitted the photos to prove it. We had no other choice but to stay since it was the 4th of July weekend and everywhere else was full. Thankfully, we had a blanket in the car that we were able to lay on. We wrapped the pillows in towels so that we did not have to touch those either. In the morning, all we wanted to do was take a shower since we felt so dirty and uncomfortable. We could not even do that since it was broken (just like everything else). We thought that maybe we could just take a quick dip in the pool since it would be better than nothing. When we went outside to the pool, it was covered in a green tarp, cigarette butts, trash and beer cans.|||| If you want a motel where you cannot sleep on the bed, use the toilet, take a shower, swim in the pool, or expect ANY privacy whatsoever...this is the...
