Captain's Quarters Inn — Hotel in Edenton

Very nice, seemed a bit overpriced in my opinion. We specifically got a room with a large bathtub. The hot water ran out after 1/4 of the tub was full both days (evening and then morning). It wasn’t possible to use the bathtub. I was pretty bummed about that. No one was in the hotel when we got there, when she arrived she said no one had early check in even though she was who I spoke with on the phone to confirm early check in. Not as welcoming as I expected upon that initial impression. The room was beautiful, clean, comfortable. The house only had one other room to see, I kind of thought I would get to see more of it. The house is stunning, parking is great, outdoor areas are beautiful. Location is fantastic. Breakfast- depends on your taste. It was great; sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, fresh fruit, biscuits (may have been toast). I was kind of expecting something more elevated but I’m kind of a food snob I guess. The Captain’s Quarters Inn is a beautiful property with a great location within walking distance to downtown Edenton BUT we were disappointed that they did not offer coffee at our Inn. We had to walk outside to the house beside the Inn for coffee and the breakfast. In bad or cold weather this would have been even more disappointing.

There was a small refrigerator located in our Inn in the common area but it was never stocked.

The breakfast was very basic and subpar to other Bed and Breakfast’s we have stayed at around the area where the breakfast presentation was part of the overall experience. I stayed at The Captain’s Quarter Bed and Breakfast in Edenton, NC during ECSU Homecoming, and it was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, GiGi, the innkeeper, made me feel right at home—she gave me a warm welcome, showed me around the property, and made sure I was settled comfortably in my room. The room was spotless, and the bedding was so cozy and comfortable—the perfect place to relax after a busy weekend of festivities.
