Carrozza — Restaurant in Edenton

Couldn't be more happy to have a fantastic AND much needed italian restaurant in Edenton. While you may not find pages of options, you will not be disappointed by the signature, hand-crafted, decadent dishes they offer. After you are pleasantly greeted and place your order, find a table in the quaint inside atmosphere or outside while enjoying historic DT Edenton's vibe. I have had lunch there twice...caprese sandwich the first visit. Ragu pasta the second. Dinner for a third time...back to the ragu with thinly sliced (and crisped) Italian sausage. I tend to pass on ragus because I never seem to find one authentic enough...this one does not disappoint. Dinner was served with a complimentary homemade, buttery, melt in your mouth, focaccia bread. I would have that for dinner alone if the pasta wasn't was darn good. We shared cannoli and coconut 'dream' cake. Not sure if that was the official name, but it should be ☺️. Carrozza's is relatively new so if there were any kinks, they figured them out quickly. Destiny is delightful and Justin rocks! Keep up the deliciousness...and the bread! 😉 Also, they have pre-made options if you need to...

I’ll start by saying I’ve overlooked this place for about 3 weeks now. I am in town for an extended amount of time for work and have been eating dinner in town every evening. I’ve tried most every option and finally decided to stop in.

Like others had said, the menu is not as robust as you might expect at most Italian restaurants. However given the scale of the establishment I would say it’s quite adequate.

I ordered the chicken Parmesan and opted for the additional Alfredo for an additional charge.

I was surprised with a complimentary bread with oil from the kitchen and waited for the meal.

A short time later the entree arrived and it is hands down the best chicken parmesan I have ever had. From the tender chicken and the exceptional breading to the incredible Alfredo sauce that offered complexities you won’t find at any other Italian restaurant.

As a first-time customer at this Italian restaurant, I was completely blown away. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a classy and upscale ambiance that set the tone for a wonderful evening. The menu offered a fantastic selection, but I decided to try the pizza and Alfredo, and I’m so glad I did! The pizza was hands down the best I’ve ever had—crispy crust, fresh toppings, and bursting with flavor. The Alfredo was equally delicious, creamy yet light, and absolutely divine. Each bite showcased the freshness of the ingredients. The restaurant was also impeccably clean, which added to the overall experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more...
