Taylor Theater — Local services in Edenton

hello I’m over the road truck driver life can get bored on the road so I looked on Google maps it was a movie theater so I said OK. I’m Finna. Go watch me a movie. So the employees I was having a good conversation with them. I really don’t see many faces cause I’m always busy driving driving driving so the lady was telling me the building is 100 years old and it’s been a movie theater ever since I was telling her her life is on the road as been over the road truck driver so I was a paying customer so I seated to go watch my movie next thing I know I get pulled out of the theaters by the local police saying that I’m being suspicious so the employees call the police on me for no reason I haven’t broken any laws only law that I broke then the only black person in the theaters so if they don’t want Black people there but that theater is very racist in the police department too so if you are black person, I advise you do not go to that town...

Both my wife and myself are from Long Island, NY, we have a house in Hertford, NC. We have gone to the theater in E.C. and was very disappointed, couldn't hear the movie even after asking them to turn up the sound- a waste. This Taylor theater is like going back in time, the people friendly, popcorn & drinks reasonably priced. The theater itself is very old but we thoroughly enjoyed the movie, we could hear everything and it wasn't crowded, we will definitely be going back to see...

Being used to huge theaters, I was a little leary about trying a small theater like this. I was worried the picture and sound was going to be subpar. I was wrong. I love this place. The staff is awesome. The prices are amazing in comparison to most theaters today. And the movie experience was great. Could use an update in chairs at some point, but other than that, it's a nice place to see a movie without the outrageous prices...
