Really expensive for the quality and serving size. I really wanted to like this place and have been looking forward to trying it and I am not sure I would go back. Part of me chalks it up to them being a new restaurant but then again they should have things dialed in considering they’ve been open a while now. We ordered mussels that were inedible due to too much garlic, tots which were ok, oysters that were good but I could get the same type and quality across the street at Drunkin Goat for half the cost. The octopus was decent and the breaded clam strips were good but they only give you half a cup. We spent about $250 for two of us, which included two glasses of wine per person. Overall, I’m not sure it was worth the money or if I would recommend this restaurant- there are better places in the valley to get fried food, mussels and oysters for less of a cost that are better or...
Read moreMy first experience here was great. The food and service were 5 star worthy. Tonight, was a different story. I ordered my usual fish and chips, only this time to go, and a cup of the clam chowder. When I get home (an 8 min drive) I open the cardboard to go box and find that the fish was pretty much burned, and the fries were dry, cold, soggy, and also over cooked. I called them and they did make a new order, but there seemed to be some hesitation. (Maybe the kitchen was closing) the second order was done better than the first. Taste wise, it was just off. Only at 1 of 3 pieces of fish, and handful of french fries. I hope the owner reads this and hears me when I say, Quit using frozen Ore-ida French fries! A restaurant like this should be able to produce handcut fries! It will be a while before I go back. Tartar...
Read moreFood was pretty awesome. I see all these people crying about price on the reviews but they must not have been in Vail for long. Fresh, delicious seafood isn't exactly easy to source in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. Anyway, we had almost everything and enjoyed it thoroughly.
My main issue is that it's not very Non-alcoholic friendly. No iced tea, no lemonade, and they try to upsell you to some tonic stuff instead. Iced tea and lemonade costs the restaurant virtually nothing to include. Alcohol menu is huge, all this place needs is a little bit more NA beverages (not more soda, either).
Next time when they're hopefully serving Iced Tea I'll change this...
