Ashbrooke Hotel — Hotel in Egg Harbor

Absolutely wonderful! Our stay was perfect. What a beautiful place I feel privileged to have visited. The grounds are beautifully maintained with lovely gardens. The smell of jasmine or honeysuckle vines wafted through —unsure which lovely vine but was blooming with white flowers during our stay. The hotel is designed smartly and elegantly. When walking in, my husband immediately complimented the smell of the hotel as something he couldn’t pinpoint but he liked it. Just a lovely detail. Our room was oh so cozy, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed all the amenities including the wet bar, fridge, and microwave, in room spa and robes. We both slept well on comfortable beds and pillows. We loved the location in Egg Harbor with a short walk to town. The beautiful pool and hot tub is large and situated beside the outdoor deck and fire pit. We only ever encountered one or two people while swimming. We enjoyed our small but sufficient breakfast offerings in the mornings we didn’t go out to breakfast. This stay was by far one of our best hotel experiences. Housekeeping arrived daily unless we left the sign on the door. |Peace and quiet was also in full bloom during our stay. Often times it felt as if we were the only ones here until peering out the windows and seeing a full parking lot. |Thankful for the elevator that is available on days when we weren’t feeling like climbing anymore steps especially on a day after visiting Cana lighthouse. |We are absolutely in love with this place and destination. This is an exceptionally clean hotel which is number one on my list. The cleaning crew does an impeccable job here. It has a beautiful outdoor Sun Deck with a fire pit and the grounds are extremely well-maintained. There is a beautiful indoor pool with a nice hot tub. It does not come with breakfast if that's your thing. You can walk to everything in the main area for the most part, and it is right near the Door County Trolley Tours if you're interested in doing that as well. We had a whirlpool suite with a wet bar and microwave and refrigerator. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and the shower water is beyond refreshing with the high power shower heads. It only had a few small negatives. The microwave is really really low inside of a cabinet. If you are unable to bend you wouldn't even be able to use it. It is very difficult to see what you are doing unless you lay on the floor. Also the bed was extremely hard and very uncomfortable in the room we stayed in. All in all I would definitely stay here again and just ask for a room with a little softer bed. They are beautifully decorated rooms with beautiful artwork. The staff was very kind. Our stay at the Ashbrook Hotel was absolutely fantastic! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were amazing—easily the best I've experienced in all my travels. The rooms were spotless, and the staff went above and beyond with their friendliness. Noise was minimal, which made for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

We were a group of nine, and while the ample outdoor space was perfect for us, I do wish there had been an indoor spot large enough for our group since the library felt a bit too small. That said, the overall experience more than made up for it.

I have to give a special shoutout to the shower—10/10! In all my years of traveling, I've never experienced a shower as incredible as the one here. The price was also a pleasant surprise, coming in less than I expected for such quality.
