I called the morning of to schedule a grooming appt for my dog for either Monday or Tuesday at a specific time that I was told was unavailable. So I asked if they had anything today, the lady told me yes they had a 1,2, or 3pm. So I took the 1pm and showed up a little early around 12:45pm and they took her. She told me it would be about an hour or so and they'd call me when she was ready. I went next door to Target to shop for a bit while I waited and after an hour went by I went back to see if she was almost done. A different groomer told me they were a little behind and that it would be another hour and they will call me. Normally I would understand, however, I could see on the camera that my dog was laying in a kennel, not even started on yet, from what I could tell. This was very fustrating. I waited in my car for another hour as there is no sense in driving 20mins back home and then back again to pick her up. After another hour had passed, I went in again to check on her. I again noticed she was laying in a kennel while her groomer was helping with another dog. A different groomer again told me it would be a few more minutes as they still needed to clip her nails. So I waited in the store until she was done since I was told it would only be a few minutes. Once my dog was released back to me, her groomer reminded me that in the future its best to wait until they call and to not wait inside and it can make them feel pressured. I am very fustrated by this experience. Never has it taken more than 2hrs to groom my short haired pit. I understand if there is a busy schedule or lack of staff, however, I do not understand booking me for an appt that day if they did not have the means to groom her in an appropriate time, it did not make sense she took over 2hrs when on the phone that morning at 10:30am they had the following hours available for appts, so it did not make sense how they didnt have the time. I was very fustrated to see my dog just sitting in a kennel and not being worked on, especially an hour after her appt time. I dont see a point in appointments if she does not get started on an hour afterwards. No one would feel pressured if it did not take over two hours, nor should they feel pressured for me waiting in the store for her when I was told it would just be a few minutes. Apart from the appointment and time conflictions, I could visibly see my dog shaking with her tail between her legs, which last time she did not do. No apologies were given to me by my groomer, and this experience has broken my trust with the staff. I will not be taking my dog back here sadly, even though we had a great experience with a different groomer before this. If you are busy, it does not make sense to take more...
Ā Ā Ā Read morehello, after a week they gave me an appointment to give my cat the vaccine. They called me and I went there to petco. They made me wait in the parking lot and the shop was full of people with their pets. When after 20 min they called us we waited and neither me nor my husband let us in with my pet. I explained to the vet assistant that my cat has since born a leg problem and has pain, I also had the cat's medical record with me, but they didn't notice. The vet took my cat by the neck and it hurt her, I saw that he was talking to an assistant without telling me anything, while I was looking at my cat who had a suffering expression. After 15 minutes the vet came out and gave me back the cat and told me they didn't get the vaccine because my cat has pain in the legs. This is unprofessional, I had my cat's record with me where it shows that the animal has always had a problem and that I have always vaccinated her. However, it is useless if you make people wait outside if the shop is full and if the line inside for the vet was long. Safety distance equal to 0 and professionalism by the vet equal to 0. I have the right to be with my animal, I have the right to hear what they say, I have the right to show my documents to the vet and I have the right to denounce the negligence of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recommend Patty for dog training 10/10! Patty promptly returned my call when I was inquiring about training. My dog (Luna) had some prior training, but was stubborn with the basics. Patty had an in-depth conversation with me to help me select one private lesson for evaluation. That first day, Luna was very overstimulated, being in a new place, and was showing signs of nerves. Patty was so patient with Luna. We ended up signing up for a session of private lessons. Luna now gets excited when she thinks she is going to training. She became so comfortable with Patty and passed Advanced Level II AND her Canine Good Citizen test! Why? Because Patty is so incredibly knowledgeable and will give you everything you need to work with your dog at home. If she sensed that Luna was getting frustrated, tired, or bored, Patty would switch it up. I never felt like my time was being wasted. Luna loves the staff at this Petco location. She met so many new friends who work the closing shift (shout-out to Adrian)! We are sad to be done, but Iām eternally grateful for the opportunities that Patty has...
