Absolutely disappointed and disgusted. I booked a one night stay as a diamond member. The sheets were already wrinkled and dirty when I checked in. Something I over looked because of exhaustion. I was woken up by rain water pouring in through the window ledge. Not just the window, the whole wall, dripping through the drywall despite the thick cover over pain over the obvious black mold. The hotel staff was no help. No offer to move room even after I requested a new room. I was told it was fully booked even though the app let me book a stay before canceling the current room AT THE SAME HOTEL. No maintenance staff despite a “ Fully booked hotel with clear room issues”. No management anywhere or reachable. No attempt at all to fix the situation. I was told to find a new hotel. Absolutely unacceptable. Fire the manager team. Find a new owner. They are leaving the building the the hands of unqualified people and leaving. This hotel is a hazard and lawsuit waiting to happen.

We stayed here during our trip to El Paso to see Coldplay, and overall, it was a decent experience. Spark by Hilton is a newly renovated hotel, and it shows—they’ve done a pretty good job freshening up what used to be a rundown Sleep Inn. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though you can still tell it’s an older building underneath. Some parts of the hotel, like the pool and a few other amenities, were still under renovation when we visited. Breakfast was very basic—just some bagels, instant oats, coffee, and juice. Nothing fancy, but enough to get you started in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a big difference. If you’re looking for a simple, clean place to stay near the university, this is a solid option, especially once all the renovations are fully wrapped up.

I stay in El Paso often enough that I’ve been to most of the Hilton’s on the west side. I tried this one out because of the recent remodel. Big mistake. No one is at the front desk after 7pm, window is broken, shower is filthy and this is the best part no plugs in convenient places, unless you count the one halfway up the wall behind the bed. They even have extension cords connecting lamps! So strange, never staying here again. I’d go with the garden inn by the university if you have to be on this side of town.

Where to begin. If I wasn’t 6 hours into a 12 hour trip for school I would have drove back home. It’s that bad. So I understand the concept that you get what you pay for so the bathroom is small and the TV is small and that’s fine given that I paid roughly $72. But there are some minimum expectations that this hotel does not meet. Within the first 20 minutes of me being on the bed I had to fix the “fitted” sheet numerous times. The sheets are old and the elastic is worn out. The brown “bedspread” has a white crusty substance on it. The safety latch is missing off of the door. The clock was five hours off when I arrived. When I went to turn on the lamp, there was no lightbulb in there. The pillows are flat and old. They put me in room 303, which is by itself next to the vending machines next to the maintenance closet. I don’t know what they were doing about 9 o’clock but I was trying to fall asleep and I could hear them messing around in there I could hear people coming in out of elevators. The walls are paper thin. There is damage to the carpet by my door. When I called to make my reservation, I called the sleep in call center directly and I informed them that I would be bringing a service dog with me. They informed me that I had to provide medical paperwork. That’s illegal, and it is a violation of federal law. But I had no intention on arguing with them instead I just brought the doctors notes that I had to provide my disability office at school since I already had them. When I arrived at the hotel, I went to give them to the cashier and she said she didn’t need them . And I told her that was funny “because the call center told me that I had to bring them, but that’s illegal anyway.” Also, when I was on the line with a call-center, my representative asked me to hold onto to listen to a vacation offer. Which I did not want to listen to anyhow, but I did. About 30 seconds into it a woman picks up and I told her “Oh I’m sorry I don’t know what happened. The man told me to stay on to listen to an offer” she proceeded to be very rude to me. That should’ve been my first sign to cancel this reservation. She said “well that’s what this is.” And I tried to explain to her that I wasn’t interested in hearing about the vacation offer but thank you. And she kind of laughed, and said “Without even finding out what it is?” And I said “Yes thank you goodbye.” She proceeded to say, “ so you’re not interested and you don’t even know what it is?” Again. And I said “Yes now goodbye and hung up the phone.” as a social worker, I stay in about 10 hotels a month and this was the worst hotel experience that I have ever had. The hotel is just generally disgusting never again I assumed because the Sleep In located in my hometown is decent that this one would be too, but that is not the case it is not worth your money. Truly, when you get inside your room, you will realize that they’re charging about twice as much as the room is worth. It’s not much above a cheap old, random roadside hotel in the middle of nowhere. I can’t comment on breakfast, because I won’t be here for breakfast. It’s 3:30 and we’re gonna leave by 5:30. I can’t wait to get...

Sleep Inn University||||El Paso||||Not what you should get expect a Choice Property||||955558246||||Sleep Inn||06-14-24||||David checked us in.||Was nice but had no clue about this Choice Property.||Askes for a handicap room. Said they were over booked – 3 cars in parking lot at 2000.||Went to the restroom in the lobby – lack of toilet paper and no paper towels. Had a Kleenex box on top of empty towel dispenser. The toilet has dark stain in it.||Room 122||1. Door was broken [see picture] to the bathroom. This meant we could NOT close the bathroom door at night because it caught on the frame and would make so much noise when opening.||2. It has 4 lights in room - 3 did not work||3. Tried to call front desk but room has not phone – had to walk to front desk- 122 is toward the end of the long hall.||4. David bought 3 bulbs he found in an open box of used lights in the maintenance closet down the hall, but only two worked. Gave up and told him to forget the 3rd light not working.||5. Pool has sign on it says it is closed, but some folks still went in and David said nothing to them.||6. Used to have a printer, nothing there now, everything gone - empty||7. Has fridge but had no freezer compartment for ice packs||8. AC cover broken [see picture]||9. The Internet is super slow. Opening things took minutes. I did an Ookla speed test 1.95 download 1.92 upload. Finally had to use Verizon Hotspot to get anything done.||[Had screen shot attached, but did ot copy to this]||10. The outside temperature was in the triple digits. During the night every time the A/C came on it made deep noise like a tuba and a cycling noise. Cycled about every 6-7 minutes. Drove from Riverside CA to El Paso yesterday and have to go south of Ft Worth today. Got one of the worst sleeps ever.||11. We went to get breakfast at 0610 and there was a young kid walking around on his cell phone. Rudely he told Saturday at 7 and walked off. So we got no breakfast which was included. Usually available at 0600.||12. I went to the parking lot, since we were told that they were over booked and could not move me from the room we had. 18 cars in the parking lot. Told young kid, again on cell phone and he said we are still over booked.||13. I also went to look to see if any toilet paper or paper towels were added to the lobby bathroom, nothing done from my bringing up at check-in.||14. I told him to ask the manager for a credit and he told “You are n’t getting one”!||15. He was most likely the rudest person in 30+ years with Choice. I asked for his name and wanted to know why so I told him I will follow up with this so he told me “I’m not giving you my name.” Young teenager or early twenties skinny kid. ZERO people skills as a front desk person.||||On 06-15-24 I did survey for sleepinn@express.medallia.com-||After sending this in their survey I got a reply||I removed the reply because it was kicked back by TA for Plagiarized and...

I stayed last night and when I arrived there was no one at the front desk. I wait and decided to use their restrooms in the lobby while I waited. After I came out there was two other people waiting to be helped in the lobby and no one was still at the front desk. The gentleman that was there with the fire extinguisher let a lady know that she had customers at the front waiting. The lady addressed someone and had them come out of the back office to help us standing at the front desk. The check-in process wasn't as smooth as it normally is and not as helpful as other hotels in the chain I've stayed at. I then got my room key and proceeded to my room where I really was looking forward to a shower. When I noticed that there was no conditioner in the shower. I went downstairs to ask for some conditioner and was told that they did not provide that that it was due to the owner and not Sparks responsibility for providing conditioner and I was like this would be the first spark that I've stayed in that didn't have conditioner in the bathroom and she said that she understood but it was up to the owner to decide if that was an expense that they wanted to incur and it wasn't. So I returned to my room to take my shower without washing my hair due to it being long and I had just flown in. So I don't normally take my shampoo and conditioner with me because of flights and how hard it is cuz I don't like to check my bags and none of the Hiltons I've ever stayed in didn't have conditioner in the room. As I waited on the shower to warm up. I noticed that my shower had no hot water at best. It was not icy but it was not warm so therefore I didn't get a shower either which was very disappointing. Not to mention there was hair in the shower and hair on the floor. I feel like cutting corners and passing that off onto the guest makes for this stay as the least favorable hotel I've ever stayed in for the Hilton branches. Nevertheless, even though I am diamond member, I don't think I will stay in this one again. I was going to speak to the front desk person this morning but while I had my breakfast and ready to check out Alas, there was still no one at...
