Went into Michaels in El Paso at the Sunland park lication. I needed sublimation paper and they were the only ones i could get it today from. I went in and couldnt find it so i asked at the counter. 3 employees were behind the counter doing nothing but chatting. Of course not going out on the floor to HELP CUSTOMERS! The guy i asked said the woman next to him would take me to the item. She was busy chatting however and i had to wait for her to finally take me there where it was on the very bottom shelf behind a rolling ladder they left in front of it. I took it to the counter to the first guy that i spoke with and asked him if i could use the coupon they text me. Usually worry about coupons about the box of paper was $25. He informed me that no, i couldn't use the coupon because the paper was from a 3rd party seller(it WAS on their shelf though!). I said never mind and he asked me for my phone number so he could âsign me inâ I gave it to him and he said it wasnât in their system. Funny since their system text me coupons all the time. Then he asked me for my email address which he didnât find in his system either which is again funny since I get emails from them all the time. He asked me if I had a voucher from cash back on purchases I have made. Told him no and this was the reason that I donât make any other purchases at the store. I typically look for permanent and iron on vinyl, but their prices are more than $10 a roll over the price that Hobby lobby sales thereâs for! Their prices are quite a bit more than Hobby lobbyâs, so Iâll be shopping there next time weâre there. Coupons always work and their employees donât stand behind the counter...
Read moreAbsolutely love it and would really like to give it 5 stars if not for the lack of variety and sought after items id assume to be sold there - which I presume to be because of how small the actual store is. Also did not feel comfortable about how the employees instantly believed id be stealing these past 2 visits. The usual seemingly inviting atmosphere has immediately switched to an offensive uncomfortable feeling the moment I arrive. I dont understand why when ive been there many times over and never spend less then $100 when I go. I do not dress myself in dirty worn out clothing and always try my hardest to be nice to the employees no matter what. Albeit, my visits have become less frequent due to this small yet meaningful misunderstanding. I try to tell myself that they're only doing what they believe to be right. Even supposing this to be true its had me strongly considering doing my shopping for art supplies online, at a alternate location if possible or...
Read moreThis store has an in authentic kindness. Employees seem like they are forced to say hi..as it rushed and a tone of inauthenticy. This store has all kinds of hospitality problems-starting with the managers dismissive and ego filled personalities. When giving suggestions about putting phone# for outside pick up sign. I got a snotty, unprofessional response. This is not the only time dealing with them. Price seem to be better since taking 40% coupon. I find good deals but try not to go there unless I have too. Hopefully Corporate will look at who they hire to manages and run the stores. When I go to habby lobby they are packed!Every time i go to Micheals it is empty- And there is a reason. No body wants to go to this Micheals any more. I have even started shopping online with other vendor..all to not go to this...
