Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in El Paso

First of all, the hours here say the store is open until 10:30pm daily. On Sunday night I was craving a banana split, so I drove for 20 minutes from the UTEP area because this store was the only store open that was fairly close.

I arrived at 9:48pm. The menu displays were turned off, and all the chairs were already turned upside down on the tables. I asked for a menu, and was told they were already turned off. I tried to order a banana split and was told they were out of bananas.

They were obviously trying to close the store down, and everything was already put away. I asked what time they closed, and they said 10pm.

This is my biggest pet peeve with businesses. So, was closing time at 10pm? Or 10:30 like it’s stated here?

Either way, I was there at 9:48pm. The store was not closed yet. Why couldn’t I be served? Why was everything already shutdown?

This is not the way to run a business. A customer that arrives 15 minutes (or 45 minutes?) before closing time deserves the same product choices and service as the customers who arrive 10 minutes after the store opens.

Usually have good experiences here but the last couple times have not been pleasant. Went through the drive thru and had to give my order 3 times because they continued to repeat back the wrong order or had the incorrect ice cream. When we did get our order we noticed it was quite bad. We had ordered a hot brownie sundae with chocolate sauce and nuts only and got caramel sauce with no chocolate at all. Then I checked the strawberry milkshake I had ordered and it looked like a glass of milk with just a couple chucks of strawberry. Once I tried it the only thing I could taste was the milk. So, I basically got a glass of milk with a couple tiny strawberry pieces in it that were flavorless and this is the second time that this has happened. Every time we come to this Baskin Robbins it’s been bad. Wait times are ridiculous, even when it’s just us inside, and service is just mediocre. Today we waited a good 20 minutes, again it was just us, for a single scoop, cappuccino blast, and a mango-Tea shake. Like really? 20 minutes. There was a male employee with just the worst attitude. No one greeted us and we stood there for a couple of minutes before we where acknowledged by the female employee. The employees here seriously hate their job. Like you can tell. They hate it.
