We came up to go to the Bramble Zoo. We checked in around 10 pm and the girl checking us in was super sweet, I didn't catch her name but she was pregnant. But to my surprise she would be the only sweet person we would come across during our stay! We went into our room and our room smelled horribly bad even though it was a smoking room and it had NO towels what-so ever. At the time we didn't care so we went to bed. In one of our beds we found a condom on the bed so that's telling me that they didn't change the sheets. Granted it wasn't used but still that's gross! We called the front desk and we got no answer. We just the blanket off and slept just like that. I woke up about 4 am and wanted to make a cup of coffee and we didn't have regular coffee in our room so I went up to the front desk and asked for some coffee packets and the older front desk lady asked why I was up and told me that there was NO reason for me to be up at this hour. (Mind you her tone was very snotty). My family and I went to breakfast at 7 am and we did not get greeted by the breakfast lady and staring at everything we took for breakfast. The yogurt was expired was one problem. The breakfast lady did not put out any eggs and ham while we were there either. She was super friendly to the family sitting at the table beside us but didn't say one word to us. My cousin who was with me is native and she kept getting horrible looks and talking behind her back from workers in the breakfast area. We checked out and I told the front desk person on duty and she wrote everything down and told me she would put it in her managers office and told me to either email her or call her tomorrow since it was Labor Day. I called Kathy the manager the next day and asked her if she received my complaint and she said yes I did. She was really rude and acted like she didn't have the time or day for me. I work at a choice hotel in Aberdeen and we would never dream of treating any of our guests the way my family and I was treated. This is really unacceptable, and not worth any stars that I gave this place! Actually it shouldn't matter if I work at a choice hotel or not. You treat everyone the same!!! Do not stay here, not worth your...
Read moreAmazing service from the front desk to the maids and the ladies that run the breakfast room. We were visiting from Nebraska but everyone there treated us like we were friends. Our room was very clean. Nice comfortable beds and provided a fridge, microwave and a room safe. TV worked great along with the alarm clock provided in the room. The pool was just the perfect size for an overnight stay. Water was very clear, no strong chemical smells and perfect temperature. The hot tub was equally clean and just the right temp for perfect relaxation. We even WATCHED an employee checking the chems and water temps while we were swimming which I have never seen in a hotel before. The kind lady said they check it every shift. It was so good to know they had procedures in place to ensure a clean and safe pool. The breakfast both mornings was absolutely wonderful. They provide waffle machines with multiple setup options and each day they offered a different breakfast item. One day was scrambled eggs and sausage the other day was sausage biscuits and gravy. Other items served daily on the breakfast bar were cereal, bowl of fresh fruit, bread for toast, donuts, bagels, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, reg and decaf coffees. Orange Juice and Milk. The ladies kept the food fully stocked the entire time and kept tables clean and emptying trash cans as needed. We met so many kind staff at Quality Inn that we are so glad we paid the "extra" $20.00 to stay there. They are right off the interstate and right across the street from the Terry Redlin Museum. Highly recommend a stay here and we hope to come...
Read moreThis will be the only hotel I stay in here in Watertown. Period.
The Quality Inn was recommended to me by a family member and it is every bit a comfortable, accommodating, customer service oriented as I was told. It is located near both Hwy 212 and 1-29 but the noise does not seem to be an issue in the hotel. That being said, my room was on the north side of the building, facing out to fields.
This hotel does allow pets for a $20 fee which I found to be quite reasonable. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Carpet looks to be new, as did the furnishings in the room.
There is a free hot breakfast in the morning that was excellent. On Sunday morning, it included omelets, bacon, various cereals, bagels, english muffins, toast, yogurt, fruit, etc. A nice variety of food in a crisp, clean dining room. The employee attending the room was very friendly and very on top of replenishing anything that ran out.
The only drawback I experienced was some noise from time to time late in the evening. There were a number of families who were up late in the pool area, which happened to be directly below my room so if you are able, try to get a room that is not located above it if you are on the second floor.
I highly recommend staying at the Quality Inn in Watertown. The service from the moment you walk in the door until you check out is just excellent. Overall just a great stay, looking forward to returning...
