I went in on Nov 3 because I knew I needed to have a tooth extracted and my dentist Tooth Zone changed to only seeing children. The dentist at Sunrise agreed the tooth needed to be taken out. My other dentist suggested a bridge and the dentist here told me “most of the time they are covered” with my insurance. I scheduled an appointment (over 3 weeks later(that was the soonest they could get me in)-and was told that at that point we would discuss a plan (the visit was very rushed). I took down the email address to have the endodontist forward the records for that tooth. They never told me they would want the records for any other teeth. I arrived. They told me they had me down for an extraction. Naturally I was surprised and explained my expectation that we were going to make a plan. I explained myself over and over to the assistant but she just couldn’t get it. Finally she suggested I talk to the dentist. He approached me from behind the chair. I never got to look in his eyes which was unnerving. I explained myself to him and he said “That’s what we have you down for” (an extraction). I started talking about a bridge to put into the spot where the tooth would be and then he explained that he thought a Nesbit apparatus would be better. We were talking about what my insurance would cover and then he said I needed to make an appointment for a financial review (before we did anything so I don’t get complications from pulling a tooth and not replacing it with the Nesbit apparatus). They also made a big deal about not getting the records for the rest of my mouth. The dentist was condescending. My tooth is only getting worse. I have wasted a month trying to get it taken care of here. I have lost confidence in Sunrise. I feel like they really didn’t care about me. I don’t know why the dentist at first agreed with me that the bridge would be covered when his intention was never to do that anyway. That is just misleading. I don’t like the way they took care of me. There are other options and I’m...
Read moreJust thought I would let people know how amazing the people are who work here , especially Leonardo Procel . I was probably at one of the most stressful points in my life since not only did I find out I was pregnant but I also had no health insurance and wasn’t able to get insurance from my employer until the enrollment period . Keep in mind I just found out I was three months pregnant with no health insurance and the enrollment period didn’t start until next year . So my whole pregnancy I wouldn’t have had any type of health insurance . I came into sunrise to do my check ups and had no idea where to begin . They advised me to apply for medical assistance which I did but ended up being denied . I was devastated and in tears . They advised me to speak with Leonardo Porcel and all I can say is Leonardo is the true definition of what it means to be kind and a role model for customer service . Leonardo went through my paperwork and fixed the mistakes I made on my packet and had all the patience in the world and did not give up on my application until we figured out my health insurance situation . I could never thank you enough for all that you have done and I hope to see more people like you work in places like these. People like you make such a big difference because you go above and beyond for your clients and that is everything. Thank you Leonardo Porcel for helping an expecting mother and her baby get the medical...
Read moreVery dirty! Especially the bathrooms. It seems like they may not have custodial services. If they do, they are neglecting vital areas like the air vents. I looked up at the ceiling (don't remember why I did) and the air vents were disgusting! Looked "furry" because of all the dust/dirt build-up. It was obvious they had not been cleaned for years. In this day and age, especially with COVID-19 still rampant, cleanliness is vital and I would expect a community health clinic to have better standards. This was not a one time observation. I go to that clinic at LEAST once a month (sometimes as often as every week) and the status is the same every time. Filthy! Sure, I see them wiping down tabletops and chairs occasionally, but it appears that nobody makes sure the building is periodically "deep cleaned". Your next question will likely be, "Then why do u keep going there instead of transferring to another provider?" The answer is simply that Sunrise is the only facility in my area that provides the particular service that I need. Otherwise, trust me, I would have gone elsewhere a long time ago. I have been with this clinic, however, for over 3 years and nothing has changed as far as cleanliness goes. I'm not the type of person to post negative reviews, so the reason has to be pretty substantial and in this case it is. Go elsewhere...
