For a few years this location was my favorite despite clie.ts not recommending it or speaking great about it.
They use to have fair prices and the service and flavor was better in my opinion Than The other locations.
However in the last year in a half few time I stopped by the service greatly declined as well as the flavor amd quality of the food on top of the prices greatly increasing and portions getting smaller.
In the summer I stopped by and was never even brought chips and salsa after being sat down for 20 min had to leave.
Hadn't been back since and to my surprise the service provided elwas exceptional by Paola as in prior visits.
However the food left much to be desired and the proces on top of being higher they didn't seem to match the menu prices. $6 for a coke? That's theft.
Seafood molcajete use to be my go to but this time it had no flavor , wasn't seasoned at all it seemed as had no flavor. The food was not cooked properly. The fish was overcooked seemed like stew. The chrimpnwas overcooked no flavorm the octopus had no flavor. There were a couple pieces in there too chewy to even eat.
The tostada of ceviche mixto was good but alo charged more than the proce noted on the menu. Tostadas use to be 7-$8 menus shows $11 but charged at $13 ish. While it was good prices should reflect the actual price.
Precious time I stopped in summer seemed the what appeared to be the manager was pushing liquor sales unfortunately at the expense of service for diners.
Paola has always provided exceptional.service courteous, prompt and professionally, weak link perhaps has been management and the chefs that ive wondered if it's even the...
Read moreI am from Southern California, and this place reminds me of all the amazing fresh sea food in Baja and So Cal.
The ceviche with green sauce was delicious! The salsas were absolutely mouth-watering. The one served with chips was made with roasted pepers and blended smooth. The chips were thick crispy with just the right amount of salt.
The food was well portioned, flavorful, medium spicy, and beautifully presented. The avacados were ripe and delicious.
We only speak english, and the waitresses only spoke Spanish. But she was patient, and we were able to order, eat, and pay with a little help from Google Translate. We went on a Friday for lunch and was quiet and not too busy.
We will absolutely go back and recommend this establishment to others.
Some notes on some of the negative reviews, especially about pricing. This restaurant almost exclusively serves sea food in Colorado. It takes lots of money to transport and properly handle sea foods. It was about 20.00 per person for seafood and a soda. That is petty standard for dining out these days.
The atmosphere is culturally spot on. Loud music and bright colors are comfortable to anyone who was raised around Latin America culture.
Why would people not expect authentic mexican Sea foods to be spicey? The main ingredients in Latin American cooking are hot peppers...
Read moreAs mentioned in other reviews, food is pricey. But then again, seafood typically is. Was not impressed with the taste. Asked for water with lemon to drink and the lemons given were not fresh. All food is mexican style, so if spicey is not your thing, look elsewhere. Amount of food is decent for what you pay, no argument there. Service was ok. We thought it was kind of weird how the server stood in front of our table until we signed the copy of our payment and tipped them. We were a little annoyed at the environment. There was music blasting from the restaurants speakers clashing with the live mariachi band which request tips from customers before they even play (and not necessarily in front of your table). It wasn't a pleasant experience from my point of view. Nonetheless, if you have a knack for spicy seafood, and don't mind anything else but the actual food being served,...
