If you're looking for legit New York-style pizza in a fun, lively setting, The Flying Pizza needs to be on your radar. I recently visited this neighborhood pizzeria and was impressed with their dedication to quality ingredients and authentic preparation techniques.
As soon as you walk in, you'll notice the staff tossing dough high up in the air as the ovens blaze away behind the counter. The aroma of freshly baked pies engulfs you immediately, setting the stage for some great New York-style eats.
I opted to order a fresh pie instead of a slice, and I was glad I did. The 10 minute wait was well worth it when this piping hot masterpiece emerged. The crust was perfectly charred with just the right amount of chew. The in-house pizza sauce struck a nice balance between sweet and savory. And the locally-sourced mozzarella melted into gooey deliciousness.
If that wasn't enough, the complimentary breadsticks slathered in their homemade garlic butter took this meal over the top. The two ladies working the counter were extremely friendly and helpful in guiding our selections.
All in all, The Flying Pizza delivers on its promise of New York-style pies with flare and flavor. I'll definitely be back to try out more of their specialty pizzas soon! Just be prepared to wait a bit for your pie, because quality takes time....
Read moreI have had family that said the pizza is great but I will definitely be ordering from you in the future! There was a mix up with where my mom said that an order was placed and the guy up front was very very nice and friendly. He was helpful with providing numbers of the other store locations and never got annoyed when my sister and I were trying to figure where they ordered food. Maybe 10 to 15 mins later when we finally figured out we were told the wrong place completely the store owner called super friendly and nice asking if we had figured everything out and offered to help do the order and even checked the other store locations. Customer service goes a long way with me and I have never experienced this level and I will definitely be ordering from you from how wonderful you both were today! All I can say is thank you so much for...
Read moreWe're from out of town. I was looking for a delicious local pizza spot. Boy did we ever find one. The pizza were both amazing. We ordered a napoleon style which the kids loved and a Sicilian that was to die for. Everything was spot on and we couldn't recommend a better pizza place. I knew we made the right decision when I pulled up to get the pizzas. They're making the Za's in the front of the shop where everyone can see. There were several customers walking out with slices instead of pies. That's always a sign of a great pizza spot. The hotel we stayed at was 5 minutes from their location right across from Wright State University. Got back to the hotel. Dropped the pies off in the room. Went to get the kids and Misses from the pool and the Za's were still hot when we got back to the room. Can't say enough about Flying Pizza. You...
