Had to find a new mattress, it was simple as that. We knew we didn’t want a warehouse mattress that was going to last us 6 month, we’ve been there, done that. But we also wanted the most bang for our buck. We started at a different mattress store. We tried various styles and narrowed it down to two that we liked, but was going to have to wait FOUR TO SIX WEEKS for a mattress. So we took a business card and went on our way.
I told my husband about the mattress firm down the road. It was an hour before it closed and we had nothing to lose. He said let’s go. So off we went. We got to work with Sean (or is that Shawn? Shaun? Should call him awesome Dude cuz he was GREAT!).
He greeted us with a friendly smile and engaging attitude. We told him about the previous store and he reassured us that there were tons of mattresses in stock and shouldn’t be a worry. So we started the shopping process.
I must admit, my husband and I are characters. We were also very punch-drunk tired, so our humor was getting the best of us. There was a lot of laughter being had between us and Sean/Shawn/Shaun. But he never wavered from his job. He listened to our complaints of our current mattress, and previous mattresses. He gave many options, showing the benefits of each option. He never made us feel overwhelmed. It was like Sean/Shawn/Shaun was a friend giving us the inside scoop of the best option to get and why.
We ended up getting a bed with an adjustable base (he even showed us the option of adjustable based. Dude, there are options of adjustable bases! Some with USB ports even!), and a pillow!
Best part about it, WE GET EVERYTHING ON SUNDAY!!!! Holy smokes!!! Sean/Shawn/Shaun is the bestest, as is Mattress Firm!
I am very impressed with the selling process. If the delivery goes as smooth and if the product quality is as good as the sales quality, I’ll be a lifetime customer.

Read moreI hate the man I've dealt with at the Fairview store. My box springs started to squeak after a month. I rotated the springs and the mattress several times over the next year. Still squeaking. I went back to the store to BUY another box springs, and he gives me a lecture on how I should drag the box springs out into the floor and lay on them to see if they still squeaked. He said, "Have a buddy help you with it, or heck, I could do it if I wasn't at work." Then he told me to stuff washcloths underneath the box springs. He did everything he could to keep me from initiating a warranty claim. He told me a warranty claim would be hard to justify because I'd have to take photos of the box springs and that photos won't capture squeaking. I wanted to punch him. BTW, stupid me tried all of his suggestions, and . . . still squeaking. I bought box springs online from a reputable company, and guess what? They don't squeak! I will never deal with Mattress Firm again. And that guy needs to be fired. Do not buy anything from Mattress Firm. They hire idiots like that. UPDATE...the owner just contacted me and defended the incompetent employee. What the employee should have done immediately is help me file a warranty claim, not try to prevent me from doing so. There is nothing wrong with my bed frame. The box springs are poor quality, which I explained to the employee. I got the run around from him and now from the owner. I repeat, do not deal with Mattress Firm...you will be sorry. What the owner should have said, instead of arguing with me, is simply, "How can I make this right?" Read moreAndrew was my salesman. He was awesome. He listened to what my needs were for a new bed and he quickly and professionally helped me pick out my mattress, split box spring and bed frame. He even sold me the deal at my price point. Arranged for delivery, install and haul away of my old bed. He could have had me setup in 3 days, but my schedule pushed it to 4. Edited after delivery, The delivery was as scheduled. I had to attach a headboard and for this, I had to drill new holes as they wouldn't line up with the new bed frame. Told the drivers to just leave the new split queen box spring and mattress and I'd put the set together myself. After they left and I had the headboard attached, I put the new split box springs on the bed. One of them was in poor condition. The fabric covering it was stapled poorly. You could see it had been repaired and looks as if it wasn't carefully done. I switched its orientation to hide the flaws best I could,but you'd think if you purchase new, you wouldn't have to do this. I purchased the Gold delivery and was promised haul away for ALL like pieces. The delivery guy told me they wouldn't take away my old full size bed frame. Now I'm stuck in disposal of it. My rating for my experience based on the delivery is a "1". Wouldn't recommend...
