Yesterday I decided to try a new restaurant. The lady with the pink glitter eyeliner was rolling her eyes at everything we asked for, like we were not welcome. She barely put any meat on the nachos and when asked for more she had an attitude and threw (literally tossed) an even more tiny amount on the nachos with great attitude. It then became clear that she did not want to serve us. She started tossing very unreasonable small amounts of everything else we asked for on the nachos and when I asked for more cheese she said it would be double and literally threw a quarter spoonful amount of cheese on my nachos and charged me double. I came out with an $18 nacho with NOTHING on it. She was beyond disrespectful. After service us she was so nice to the people behind us and gave them over amounts of meat and cheese on their order, this establishment will NEVER get a dime from me again or anyone I deal with. If I could give 0 stars I would. Very overpriced and overly unprofessional. I will be writing this exact review on every social media platform that I own. I’m not even the type to do reviews but that’s how disgusted this establishment made us feel....
Read moreUpdated review: I've been coming to this place for 3 years and I used to love it...like 5 star love it...I think they are under new management. I love the way the new menus looks and they kept the same options, except the tomales are gone. Here is what else changed and I don't like it... I ordered a no meat taco bowl and they gave me less than a full serving of rice and beans then charged for an extra half portion! We asked for a side of queso to go with our chips and they charged $1 for a 25 cent serving. They took the TV down, which used to play authentic Latin TV shows. On the plus side they have a self serve beverage station now. Honestly, I don't like the new vibe...the energy was not the same and the food was not as soulful as it used to be, although the seasonings were almost the same. I really miss the way it was before all the new changes. Previous review: I posted pics...I just have to say, being from California...this place is truly authentic Mexican food! And the...
Read moreAfter reading reviews on here, I made the drive from South County to eat here, and I was not disappointed. The person who said that this place was like Chipotle or Qdoba except way better, hit the nail on the head. The inside isn't fancy by any means, but the food is fantastic, and so is the service. On my 2nd occasion here, they were out of Habanero salsa (which I highly recommend if you like a lot of heat) but the gentleman behind the line had no problem making a new batch from scratch right there on the spot for me. Again, this isn't your chain style place. This is true authentic Mexican. The tacos are similar in quality to what you would get on Cherokee Street in St. Louis, except you can put whatever you want on it. And the Habanero salsa isn't like what you would find at Chipotle. It really does pack one hell of a punch, but there is a lot of flavor to it if you can get past the heat. Highly recommend a trip from St....
