I don’t even know where to begin…
Amanda, and the entire family down at Treehouse are just some of the most amazing, kind, and friendly people you’ll ever meet. They bend over backwards in order to make sure that your needs are met! I’m a disabled (wheelchair user) celebrity nail artist— and no, they didn’t know that upon check-in. I made sure that they didn’t because I wanted fair and equal treatment and wanted to do an experiment to see how that would go. BOY was I pleasantly surprised! Not that they were nice, no (even though I’ve had some not so good, and even borderline racist experiences elsewhere near and on the island) I wasn’t surprised by that at all but just the level of care and lengths they went through, to make sure that my stay was the ultimate.
I didn’t even realize that I was missing two waters from my room upon check in, and I didn’t even have to ask because when I returned to my room? They were right there where the coffee maker was. I didn’t mind anyone going into my room while I was gone; after all, I didn’t have the “Do Not Disturb” sign up. So it’s completely fine. They made sure my ADA accessible room was as comfy as could be! And WOW is it SPACIOUS!!! The bathroom alone is almost the size of the room, I LOVED that! They also have a shower bench to use and the shower itself is also very huge, very much so.
They have a car service to and from the ferry that IS ABLE TO FIT A MANUAL WHEELCHAIR inside. So there was no problems at all accommodating me when it came to back and forth travel. I was also stranded on the way back to the lodge, and Amanda sent someone out to come and pick me up at night. I’ve never had such welcoming and accommodating service anywhere I’ve stayed, ever before in my life. And I’ve stayed at a LOT of hotels and other places similar. On and off the island.
I feel bad for such a late review (a month later— I stayed during the MVAAFF in August!) but I was busy with Broadway actresses, and prepping for the Emmy’s. Still, I didn’t want this review to not happen, they’re too deserving and I can’t wait to stay again, truly I can’t. Honestly? I’m unsure if I’ll ever stay anywhere else ever again when I visit the Vineyard. Hands down the best service, the best people, and the most spacious and beautifully desecrated, COMFORTABLE room I’ve ever stayed in as well. I didn’t get a chance to try being around the bonfire as I was only there for a work trip and needed sleep, but next time for sure I will check it out.
Upon leaving? I couldn’t help but to surprise them all with Dunkin’ to show my appreciation for everything that they’ve done during my brief stay with them. That should be more common, if someone can afford it. They work around the clock and it’s easy to forget to nourish yourself. I could tell how thankful they were even before the handoff. And, one of the drivers? It was their last day with them that day! I didn’t even know, and he was able to pick out his favorite donut from the bunch. That honestly was the sweetest ending to an incredible stay.
Until next time,...
Read moreI have been fortunate to have stayed many times at both The Woods Hole Inn and The Tree House Lodge. Normally they are both very good, however a few things always seem to miss the mark. I’ve been to the THL twice this year. |I would like to suggest that the manager stay in each room (as time allows) . I think that the details would soon be sorted! It’s what I would do if I was lucky enough to own The Woods Hole Inn and Treehouse Lodge. Why not make them the best they can be?! ||Tree House Lodge Pros-||A wonderful front desk staff: Ursula absolutely made our stay great, despite a few hiccups. ||Ample Parking||Rides to the beach||Beach Towels (To Borrow ) ||Super clean , updated rooms that are decorated in a fun and creative way. ||We were allowed to leave our car for a few hours after checkout time to get to the beach one more day.||Great WiFi ||Lotta of hooks in bathroom for towels and wet bathing suits||Cons:||An unbearably uncomfortable mattress (room 9) I had to decamp to the day bed to try and get any amount of sleep.||Very dirty front windows||Disappointing and awkward shower head||The small jute rug was worse for wear. ||Rubber molding in bathroom had come loose. ||Room smelled musty ||No recycling bin ||I also wish hotels would put nightlights in the bathrooms ||Both of these hotels could easily take things to the next leveif they focused on some...
Read moreThis place was great, just what we were hoping for! My husband and I were in Woods Hole celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted to spend the night. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Jenna who checked us in and showed us around. She was extremely friendly and personable and made us feel right at home. The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. I loved that they have corn hole to play and an awesome fire pit. After a long day of exploring Woods Hole and enjoying all it had offer, it was nice to have the short walk back which was only about 15 minutes at most. When we got back there were a few people sitting around the fire. We sat with them and quickly made new friends and shared a lot of laughs. Check out the next morning was easy and we got to meet some other staff members who were just as nice as Jenna. You really can't beat staying at a place that feels more like visiting a friend's house, unlike checking into a large chain hotel where you are just another paying customer. They really care about the comfort of their guests and I'm glad we found them. Would highly recommend and would...
