Cape Cod is such a beautiful place to visit, you want to enjoy the view wherever you can. One of those spot is called Captain Kidd, and is a quite nice size. The inside is large, with nice high ceiling and lots and lots of seating. The interior is heavy with woods, with big wooden fish swilling around near the ceiling. It has sort of fishing cabin feeling to it. But the best seats in the house is actually outside the house…their waterfront outdoor seating! This area is not as large as the inside, but it certainly comes with a beautiful view of the water, boats, and yes, nice breathe! We a few drinks, including Village Sangria, Harvard Cup, and Frozen Blackberry Margarita. The sangria didn't have any cut up pieces of fruits in it, which was a bit disappointing. But, the flavor itself on all the drinks were good. For food, we ordered two appetizers to share, Crispy Salt & Pepper Calamari and Crunchy Onion Rings. They were both good, addicting and disappeared quick, especially the calamari. For main, we ordered Fried Clam Plate, Simple Salad with Lobster Salad, Cape Cod Shore Dinner, Signature Lobster Roll, and Fisherman’s Platter. The food was all very tasty, drinks were good, although not excellent. The price point is a bit high on seafood dishes, but that is common in most restaurants, especially if they are offering something really fresh. So, I would say the price was worth the quality of the food we received. The portion of the food was quite good too. The service was friendly, warm and attentive. The server took a good care of us.

Came here with a friend while we were waiting on a roadside service to come fix a flat. Waitstaff was nice enough to let us lounge at the bar an mull over a menu without really ordering anything (though my friend did get a beer). Eventually I ordered the Shepard's pie. While I waited we were able to watch sports on the amply placed big screen TVs at the bar. Eventually the wait became to great that the barkeep asked if I'd ever received my food. As it turned out the kitchen had closed with my food (now burned) still in the oven. The managers Ray and Adam came out to apologize and reopened the kitchen to make my meal. The cook (Joel) even brought it out to me and apologized personally for the mistake and Ray gave me a cup of chili as an extra and comped the whole meal. For me it was a small error that I would've have easily overlooked and forgotten about but the customer service was so exceptional. It really showed that they care about the customer and want to make sure the experience at their restaurant is to their high standard no matter what. It really made my night to see them go above and beyond like that. And to top it off the food was fantastic too, really recommend the shepards pie!

This is actually a 4 1/2 star rating (The highest I give anyone). I was introduced to this place by someone special in my life quite a few years ago. It had been a while since I had been out this way and had some work on the Cape today. I knew Woods Hole was just around the corner and thought I'd drive through, maybe park, and even walk around a little. I couldn't help but be lured in from distant memories of the great food this place served me in the past. The staff was great as always and the food, fish tacos and blueberry ale was awesome as expected. Dining outdoors on the deck was great and seeing the boats go by just adds to the ambiance of the place. Shout-out to Katie one of the managers there and the staff. Always a pleasure to dine in your fine establishment.

Kale salad can be so good with toasted almonds and lemon vinegarette( DON'T usually like kale),Cheeseburger done meduim perfection not even needing condiments served on a egglike soft bun with Boston lettuce. Mussels with garlic peppers and onions had enough juice to sopped up with toasty white bread.Delightful servers,Julia Meredith ( especially) and Layla.Dessert- whiskey bread pudding...wow! 2nd visit even better! By the water seated at a deuce with Noah as our pleasant knowledgeable server, sampled their mussels ( the BEST!!) in a spicy tomato broth, with garlic bread. with Chopped Kale salad with shaved Parmesan and Seasonal salad ..finished with warm apple crisp with oatmeal strudel
