Very cute place that's pretty small inside but has roughly 7 large tables outside for seating/eating/drinking. They serve fresh smoothies, coffee/lattes, as well as freshly baked goods (pies, quiches, egg sandwiches (either on toast, popover, sourdough, or bagel), croissants, muffins, etc.). Friendly and patient staff! There's one unisex bathroom (access with a key - need to ask staff/on a hook in the store) - clean, with soap. Went on a Sunday (Father's day) at roughly 1pm and a lot of their pastries were sold out. Still had lines around the bar for drinks and inside for baked goods but the line moves quickly. Bought the "Sausage Pepper Onion Croissant" and the "Tomato Arugula Pesto Ricotta Roll". Each was roughly $4.50 but they were large and filling. Likes how they both weren't greasy and you didn't feel gross after consuming them. The roll and croissant bread were thick with substance yet flakey. They were both good (pesto roll was slightly better) but the flavor seemed lacking - wished there was more seasoning in the croissant/sausage and more pesto in the roll. Also wished there was an option to heat up the pastries since they seemed to be a bit "stiff" after being out on display since the early morning. However, a good experience and a nice stop for a quick bite to eat and...
Read moreDefinitely a place to visit, eat pie and everything else! So glad we were able to come here a few times while in town. It was delightful. Staff is friendly, place is small but cozy. They have indoor and outdoor seating, restroom outside and they take cash/cc. They make everything in-house except the bagels, which by the way, the garlic bagel was delish! (From Cape Cod bagels) The danish-great, cookies-great, lemon merengue pie-great, magic bar-great, popover-great…all yum! They had some gluten-free and one vegan pastry each time we went. And they also have non-dairy milk options (yay!) Almond, oat, coconut and soy milks. Unfortunately we tried their Costa Rica coffee and their house blend, both were tasteless and bland. Surprising and disappointing as we had espresso drinks before and those were good. Not sure if it was an off day for coffee or what. Another thing that would be nice is to have prices on the baked goods. Even if the list changes or there are seasonal pastries it would be nice to know that pie is $4.20 and cookies are $3.25…we had to keep asking and hold up the line. And it’s not like we weren’t going to buy a bunch of food, but everything else is listed so why not add it for customers?. Overall a wonderful place to grab a bite and some treats for later. Definitely...
Read moreLast night, I went into this coffee shop and one woman working there started mopping the floors practically hitting me in the face with the mop handle. It was 945pm and on here it says you guys close at 11. Then I stood up bc I was starting to flashback again and she told me I could wait outside for my food. In that moment I wondered if I could tell her my truth because in all honesty I shouldn't have to keep my mouth shut on it and people need to learn about what I'm goig through. She could have easily had a very bad situation had she been dealing with someone with the same disorders who doesnt know and use coping skills. I just kept telling myself over and over again that I'm safe and okay. Then when I got to my friends after, all this abuse history was coming out of me of stuff mom did and some she still does. She still does the verbal stuff. I share these stories for support, to help us all learn and grow. We all need to be part of the change to make invisible illness visible. It's really sad because the coffee and food is great here. I've been coming here for years and this was just...
