Possibly the worst dining experience of my life. It didn't seem very busy, but clearly the staff was overwhelmed. Service was slow, confused, lots of other tables grumbling. No big deal, these things happen, every place has an off-night. Except for this.....The vegetarian in our party ordered a veggie burger with an egg and received......a veggie burger with egg and BACON (not kidding). We caught it and sent it back (weird, but....people make mistakes). Wait staff apologized, walked away, picked the bacon off the burger and quickly returned the same burger and plate (not kidding....bits of bacon still remained). Well.....we returned it again and said don't bother we need to leave (it had been hours). We got the check....and were charged for the poisoned burger (really....that's not an understandable mistake it's just mean and a sign of not caring at all about the customer). After some argument (and another 20 minutes|), we got the burger removed and the correct check. As a grand finale....I am now having to dispute a transaction with my credit card company because the restaurant never bothered to cancel the original transaction. I was charged for the full meal with poisoned burger AND the full meal without poisoned burger. If they had tried even a little to make up for the really horrible (for a vegetarian) offense (comp something, offer a dessert?) I might have felt better. But not even an...

This place has the best food in Woods Hole, hands down. The seasonal offerings are well thought-out and carefully prepared. The salads are all amazing, as are the soups. When they offer brunch, it is amazingly good! Also, their homemade doughnuts with dipping sauce are the perfect thing. I do also have criticisms, because I hold them to high standards. They advertise an amazing view, but it really overlooks the Ferry parking lot, which isn't that pretty. I have been over 10 times, and the service has been variable. At times great, but a time where the server didn't know which beer they had on draft (only the brewery that made it), and a time on a busy night where the hostess didn't communicate clearly about the wait. Also, I'm not sure if they have fixed this, but the menu didn't say the burger came with fries, so we ordered fries on the side (the server didn't think this was weird), and obviously had more fries than we knew what to do with. Also, the last time I went, the normally excellent chowder had too much oil separation. Still, I think this place should be on everyones must-do list for Woods Hole, and since they welcome feedback and I anticipate it only getting...

They really struck out on multiple levels. Poor service, in her defense the server/bartender was weeded; crazy closing time, doors locked by 8 and strongly discouraging anything else at 830; limited menu; poorly made drinks; and rediculous prices (dinner salad with protein? Minimum 22). I honestly considered adding a star for it's-been-middling-before, but if it weren't for the absolute dearth of options in the area, I wouldn't ever try it again.

To be clear, the issue wasn't a sudden deluge of patrons as I'm sure happens frequently. On the service side it was just poor staff performance. The closing time may be policy, it may be staff, the managing of it was staff. The badly made drinks were entirely staff. I don't mean to imply the problem might not stem from training or support (or lack thereof), it very well might, but the end result is poor service with a...

We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Leeside in Woods Hole and would highly recommend them for any special event hosting. The restaurant’s ambiance was perfect for our gathering, it was comfortable, private and decorated perfectly for a Cape Cod themed weekend. The atmosphere set the ideal tone for our pre-wedding celebration, creating a warm and inviting space for our family and friends to enjoy. The staff went above and beyond. From the initial planning stages to the evening of the event, they were attentive, professional, and incredibly accommodating. The food was simply outstanding. If you’re looking for a venue with exceptional food, impeccable service, and a lovely atmosphere, I highly recommend Leeside Pub!

For those of us trying to make a boat home, the Leeside is usually a solid choice. But this evening we ordered one of the lobster rolls and all laughed when we opened it: there was only one very small claw, a small piece of tail, and no other lobster meat in this $35 roll. We also ordered the lobster bisque ($22) and it was a small cup with three small tidbits of lobster. It was nothing like the pictures seen online and it had a strange, glutinous and gummy consistency. This was a takeout order so maybe the food is more consistent when you eat in, but had we not been running for the boat we would certainly asked the kitchen to remake our items or refund us. Really disappointing.

We had biked into town on the rail trail from N. Falmouth that led us to this pub that overlooks the ferry terminal. Nice spunky gal greeted us. “Are the margaritas any good?”, she replied “the way I make em they’re good.” We liked her immediately. They were good. Also the hot steaming mugs of quahog chowder was the best. Home-made and not from a base. Rich, creamy and buttery. So flavorful from the smoked bacon. I regret not having another. The broiled stuffed quahog was the winner. Ritz crackers w chunks of linguisa, quahog and with drawn butter completed the lunch. Another Margarita would have been nice, but we had another 10.6 miles back to the trailhead. We’ll return.
